Jamie's POV:

"Um...no. We're not doing that." I sternly said, and Miles raised an eyebrow at me.
"Why can't we go to Lady Liberty? You got something else in mind?"
Smirking, I grabbed his wrist, dragging him to the underground.
"Actually, yes."

"Why are we here?" Miles asked skeptically.
"I'm pretty sure you know why."
Stepping into the sewer, I carefully picked through the grim and shit, Miles following me hesitantly.
Climbing over the gate with practiced ease, I swung over to the other side, and Miles dropped down next to me. Turning on my phone's flashlight, I said,

"Ring any bells yet?"
Flicking my phone around, I settled it on the graffiti on the left wall. We both went to look at it, and Miles brushed his fingers against the paint.
"I remember this. Made it last year. How'd you find it?"
"Uh, I was just...exploring." Miles turned to me,
"You were exploring and decided to go inside a crust musty sewer?"
"...Yep."

Miles chuckled while my face burned and I tried to change the subject.
"So, great expectations essay. You did it early last year?"
"Yeah. Didn't get any extra credit for it though, it was a total waste. And I got an A+ on it too!"

"Bummer. But, I really wanna know your inspiration for this. Maybe it'll give me ideas."
"Well," He began, "There ain't much to tell, little lady."
"Drop the accent."
"Right. Umm,"

"My uncle brought me here last year," He started, in his normal - still annoying - voice. "I was stuck on the essay, and he took me here to let loose. This was kind of just what I was feeling at that time. Like, how everyone wanted me to be this guy that had his whole life mapped out, just because I suddenly won the lottery and could go to a private. This painting was kinda my outlet, ya know?"

Humming in acknowledgement, I traced the lines of the words, highlighted in bright neon.
"So, you like art?" He asked in a smug voice. "Looks like the badass is showing her soft side, eh?"
Trying not to blush from his remark (which I consider a compliment, I'm totally a badass), I said the first thing that came to my mind.
"Don't try me."

Miles' POV:

Seriously, she was adorable as heck.
Eyeing her closely, I saw her blush when I called her a badass, and smirked mischievously.
"Don't try me." She threatened half heartedly.
Trying not to laugh at her, I replied,
"Mhm. Sure."

"Just shut up, we're done here." She changed the subject - you ain't slick Jamie - and started heading back in the direction of the opening.
"Where are we going now?" I yelled, following behind her.
"Lady Liberty."
"Girl I-"
"You got a problem with that?"
"Pssh. No." Rolling my eyes, I mumbled, "Other than that was my idea."

"Ganke, I think I found the one."
Taking off my jacket, Ganke turned around in his sleep.
"Ugh, why are you always sleeping?" I murmured, climbing to my top bunk.
Sitting down cross legged, I noticed a small, folded piece of paper sitting in the middle of my blanket. Curiously, I picked it up and read it:

Hi, Spider-Man.
I know you don't know who I am, but you will soon enough.
In a few months, you'll never be able to forget me.
I'm gonna change your life.
For the worse.
