Miles' POV:
"Miles, Kingpin died last year! What are you talking about?" Ganke asked exasperatedly. As always, Ganke was right. When trying to escape max security prison last year, he got electrocuted from the barred wires. Horrible way to go, but i think he kinda deserved it.

"But, just think about it Ganke," I continued. "What if he didn't die? They just...moved him? He's the only villain I've fought that fits." Tugging my hair, I muttered, "He has her, he has her, he has her."
"Miles, chill! The first thing you should do is call your dad. Get him to give you an update about Kingpin. If he hasn't broken out already, then there's no way it's him."
"...Ganke can you stop interrupting my breakdowns for like 5 minutes?" I snapped, "I get my best ideas when I'm stressed as hell." The cogs in my brain turning, I thought out loud,
"There hasn't been any news about him breaking out. I'll ask dad if anything happened."
"Oh for the love of-"
"Sorry, Ganke, gotta go!" I interjected, seizing my coat from the hook near the door and bolting out.

Jamie's POV:
Banging on the steel door in frustration, I sunk down to the clammy floor. My knuckles were sore and my throat felt raw from screaming. What kind of shithead doesn't even reveal themselves? That's not the evil villain stereotype at all. They're supposed to come when I summon them, reveal their evil plan because I'm their captive anyway, yada yada yada. Not ghost me IRL, which I didn't even know you could do up until right now.

Walking the circumference of the room, I toed every corner of the brick to see if there was an opening. The only sign of outside life was the sliver of light piercing through the coat of darkness, originating from a barred window higher up on the back wall.
In case you didn't know, I'm 5' 9. Yep. I realize I haven't mentioned that till now, but i just never talk about when I tease Miles for being a foot inches shorter than me.
If I was estimating, the window was about 7 feet in the air, and from where i was standing I could clearly see the bars across it. Now, I've watched enough movies to know exactly how to get out. I just needed some pliers, a piece of cardboard, a glow stick, and a paper clip.
All of which I did not have.

Miles' POV:
"Miles, what are you doing here?" My dad's voice said startled when he opened the door to the station.
"Hey dad, I have a really random, out of the blue, in now way related to anything question." I blurted, barging into the front office. He quirked his eyebrow, and gestured for me to go on,
"Is Kingpin still here?"
"Miles, what do you mean is kingpin still here?"
"Like, did he escape?"
"Miles, i was guarding his cell when you rang the bell. Of course he's still here. Come and see for yourself."
He took me behind the office desk and down the right hallway, where several cells eventually started popping up in reoccurrence. At the last one, dad slid back the metal plate, and looked inside, but the gasp that came from him sent a chill down my spine. Pushing him away, I stood on my tip toes and peered inside.
The cell was empty.
And on the back wall, scrawled in ink as black as death,

'Nice try :)
Power plant'
