It was the next day I and the other heroes was in the throne room for an announcement. Apparently we were there for the creation of our parties. I on the other hand had already figured out party configurations the night before. I even thought of potential teamates, but ultimately I found out that I wasnt compatible with anyone except maybe naofumi.

King: now, future champions time to begin your journey

I waited with anticipation as many adventurers choose the heroes they want to go with. Seconds later I hear naofumi gasp as everyone but meand naofum had members.

*sigh* I knew some bs like this would occur.

Naofumi: yo King

King: I have to admit, I wasnt expecting this.

I ignored the next dialogue thinking that me and naofumi were being targeted by them for some reason.

I was brought out of my thoughts as a pink haired lady walks up to naofumi

Myne: the names myne I hope you will let me join your party?

My mind went wild at the kindne

s she showed.. I know one thing for sure in rpgmmo's is that if someone is being overly kind to you like this chick is. They 90% of the time have ulterior motives in store. Then the king spoke

King: every month the heroes will get their funds for their journey.

5 people holding chests walked towards us.

King: every one will get 600 gold coins each.

I was then given my gold as naofumi asked me a question.

Naofumi: yo are you ok with nothaving a party member?

I narrowed my eyes at the possibility of this girl myne: betraying us. Knowing how the shit goes I can probably make an alibi if she were to make a bs statement later.

"Sure. KING, so since I'm not necessarily a hero I am exempted from the rule so I will join naofumi as his adc. An adc is attack damage carrier. I'll be their support and damage dealer."

King: ok. GO FORTH HEROES AND SAVE OUR WORLD.

I was then invited into a party my myne. A notification appeared in my line of sight. Already knowing what to do.. I pressed accept as 2 bars of health appear in the top left showing naofumi and myne health and level.

Naofumi: w-woah David your already level 2?

Myne narrows her eyes at me in suspicion and... nervlusness. Why would she be nervous? Unless.

I checked the party status. We were set as travelers not members. So she gets the experiance. I knew it she is hiding something.

"Yeah I left early to get the feel of training like I did in my world." I decided to pull a big bluff. "In my world I was a world class martial artist let me show you." I somewhat lied. I was a 2nd degree black belt. I was good but not world class.
I threw some attacks using my staff as a bow staff. This made myne a little more nervous.

I gave a smirk before returning to my basic stance.

Naofumi: w-woah we have a martial artis. Ah hell yeah.

"Well let's get going then. We need to get as strong as possible." We decided to share the 600 of mine and naofumi's. So 1200 gold.

Myne: ok let's get going heroes

She says with a hard to tell fake happiness. We then left the castle walls until

Motoyasu: Take good care of her, you hear me?

Itsuki: it's sad we cant help you, but good luck with your recruiting.

Ren: see you again when the time comes.

Naofumi: y-yeah

Motoyasu: see you guys.

"By guys." Then myne decided to formally introduce herself

Myne: my name is Myne Suphia. It is an honor to fight with you

Naofumi: I'm iwatani Naofumi. Nice to meet you.

Shes acting friendly and choose us... she is definitely planning something... but it looks like naofumi has fallen for her charms quite quickly.

Naofumi: shall we get going, uh, Myne-san?

Myne gives a yes before leading the way.

Minutes later we reach the market. I couldnt find shit last night and she finds it in minutes... *sigh* home advantage.

Naofumi: I'd like to check out a shop that sells weapons and armor first.

The moment he says armor and weapons. I caught a glimpse of a magic shop. "Uh hey guys you go on ahead. Let's meet up at the gate later."

I noticed myne behind naofumi frown with a hint of annoyance and anger.

Naofumi: sure. Let's meet up soon.

I nod before heading to the magic shop...

A a minute later I enter the shop to be greeted by an old lady.

Lady: ah hello there. How can I help you?

"Hi I was wandering if you had any books on mana and health regeneration spells?" She pulls out 2 books from behind her.

Lady: here. Advanced level regen of mana and health. That will be 50 gold.

I hand her the 50 gold before the green orb in my tome started to glow, then absorbing the 2 books. Giving me some spells. "Thank you so much
Um do you also have any magic clothing. Preferably enchanted with defense. The best one you have please.

Lady: I have only one in stock. Will this do?

"Yeah thats...  perfect thank you so much how much" I couldnt help but smile. She took notice of my staff and tome.

Lady: ahh I see your the mage hero... how much? For free. Since your a hero I can give it to you..

My smile grew bigger. "Oh thank you so much miss. I can never be able to repay you.. ou um. Sorry but I do need to ask for one more thing."

Lady: ask away.

"Um since I was summoned to a new world yesterday I dont know anything about the language so I wont be able to read or write in this world so I was wandering if you had a book for lanuages."

She hands me a book. With a smile she gives me a price.

Lady: 1 gold coin.

I flipped a coin to which she caught. "Thank you so much miss. I'll visit again." She says thank you before I leave to change.

I walk into the back room got changed and left. As I walked out in my new clothing I saw naofumi and myne at thegates. "Heeeey" naofui turns around to see me running over.

Naofumi: woah David look at you. That looks so cool.

"I know right. This is enchanted with high defense. Now I wont die as quick." I say dead faced.

Myne: now that we our gear let's start training.

We made our way into the plains outside the castle walls near the forest I trained at.
