Ch9 test
Title: lillith's new abilities.

If the chapter works and is in order comment if not please say so. So I can try to fix the fucking app.

It's been 10 minutes since we parted from naofumi and raphtalia and already I noticed a substantial difference in monster levels but we continued on until the forest became thick, the sun darkened as we continued...

"Alright I think this is good here. Alright lillith I'll root them in place while you shoot, once my custom spell is done I'll teach you the spell. I hope."

I whispered the last part before launching a spell into the sky to alert monsters to our location. //Light binding// the ball shot into the sky before dissipating. "Alright lillith. You ready?"

Lillith: I am.

Her eyes narrow as the slits in her eyes thinned.

"Good. Because here they come." A horde of wolves charged out from the treeline.

//LIGHT BINDING//

The sphere stopped the movement of 2 wolves as lillith released her bowstring, the arrows knocking them out of the fight.

My yes turns as another 3 rushes me from the side hoping to get to lillith.
//LUCENT SINGULARITY//

"LILLITH"
Her head turns towards me as the 3 wolves slowed down.

Lillith: HAA

She pulls back her bowstring as the arrow materializes.

"Good. //LIGHT BINDING// //GLACIAL FIZZURE//"

My spell held down the 3 charging wolves before I slammed my staff into the ground creating a shockwave.

Immediately an icy hue arose from the ground as jagged ice Crystal's held onto the wolves freezing them in place.

"Alright. Let's end this... //FINAL SPARK//"

The white light pierces the darkened forest as it obliterates the remaining wolves.

Lillith: w-woah. Um. David? Is that the kind of magic from your world?

I turned my head to look at lillith with glimmer in her eyes. "It is and I'll teach you soon. Um tell me what level are you after that whole ordeal?"

Lillith: um level 4.... Level 4

"You jumped 3 levels as in comparison to the monsters where naofumi is... come here I'll begin teaching you your next abilites. Of course incant give it to you directly but I can give you pointers on how to achieve it, and it all begins with visualization."

(Note: as a witch myself visualization is a trick we use to picture our results. It helps most of the time)

Lillith: how will visualization help me learn magic?

I gave a small chuckle. "Just trust me ok? You see that tree over there, the big one?" I pointed to a charred tree final spark hit in the earlier battle. "I want you to aim at the tree and close your eyes."

Lillith: o-ok

Her eyes close before pulling back the bowstring, an arrow materializing

"Good now picture frost surrounding the arrow you just made." She furrows her eyes and her shoulders tense before firing.

Lillith: ahh. How will this help?

"Be patient. In my world like I explained earlier magic is practically non-existent but that doesnt mean it doesnt exist in terms of this world. *sigh* try again." She nods as she pulls the bowstring again. "Good but stay calm, relax your body and picture frost surroundi the arrow... now fire"

She let's go of the bowstring, it flies through the air before planting itself into the tree.

Lillith: AHH I CAN'T DO IT

I said nothing as i approached the tree. "Just try it again, in my world spells took days or even weeks to prepare and cast. Not to even mention sometimes it doesn't even work." As I got to the tree I immediately noticed frost on its trunk meaning its working.

With a smile I turned to face Lillith as she takes a deep breath.

Lillith: *inhale* I... can... do... this... *exhale*

I noticed her body and tails lower before the air around her begun to drop before ultimately releasing the arrow to early.

Lillith: AHH.. why wont it work?

I walked towards her. "Visualizing something is trying to picture an outcome. In this case I'm trying to teach you to create frost arrows using this method. Try to picture it, imagine it surrounding the arrow as you pull back your bowstring."

She took a deep breath before her eyes narrow, shoulders and tails lower once more as the slits of her eyes straighten as a noticeable drop in temperature was felt. "Good, concentrate" her stance changed, she lowered her body. Then the a crackling was heard from the arrow.

"Keep focus. Your almost there" her eyes stared in front.

Then she fires, an icy trail blazing throughout the forest covering the ground, trees with frost.

With a satisfying crack the tree was coated with an icy cover. "Good job, but can you do it again?"

She nods, pulling back her bowstring once more as the same thing happened. But when she fires her bow  I couldnt help but see her tails light up a blueish white after every arrow launched. "Alright. Lillith come here."

She lowers her bow before walking towards me.

Lillith: yes?

"Since you got this handled can you do the same thing but against monsters?"

Lillith: I dont think I'm ready.

"Hmm. Ok just keep practicing that for now. I'll give you pointers whenever you hav trouble." She nods as I myself get ready for my training.

Time skip 20 minutes.

"Shit." Was all I could say.

Lillith: what's wrong David?

// spell maker: spell giver: status? Failed. Karma: 1 hour//

"My spell giver failed. Damn, were going to have to do this the hard way."

Lillith: what do I have to do?

My eyes narrow as i gripped my staff. "Were going to have to see naofumi, let's go" I ignored Lilliths question mainly because she wasnt ready for my kind of training. Well to be fair I wasnt either but...

I kept looking down as I saw raphtalia and naofumi sitting around a campfire. "Hey naofumi why is there a campfire its mid day." He point to the sky as the sun was barely over the tree line.

Naofumi: this worlds axis is completely different then ours so our sense of time is going to be different as well.

"I see" I gave a sigh as I took a seat next to naofumi. "Lillith, let's take a break here for now."

Lillith: u-um actually I was wondering if I could continue my practice maybe just shoot across the river?

"Oh? Sure, why not. Be sure to remember to focus, the frost arrows you have now are thin. Make the arrow completely frozen." She gives an excited nod before walking a couple feet away to start her practice.

"Naofumi need anything?"

He looks up at me before smiling.

Naofumi: could you teach me some support spells?

"Tomorrow I can teach you Redemption."

Since the unfortunate betrayal I finally saw naofumi's smile.
