"Look Layla I know what you saw and I know it's hard to believe but it's not what it looked like."

"Really Kace cuz it looked like you were sucking faces with that bitch."

"I swear she came on to me."

"Yeah of course."

"I'm telling you the truth. One minute I'm in the bathroom and the second I walk out I hear a giggle as she pushed me against the wall and smashed her nasty lips on me. The next second I heard the glass break "

"You really expect me to believe that?" I said angrily.

"Yes because that's the truth!" He said loudly.

"You know I have a bad past I can't do trust so easily!"

"That's because you don't believe in anything anyone has to say!"

"You always think that every guy that comes around is bad!"

"So far I see no proof they aren't. You say believe you. How could I when I seen you too kissing!"

Kace pulled over to the side of the road and stopped before turning towards me.

"She kissed me! I did not want to kiss her she took charge!" He shouted.

"Yeah cuz girls are like that."

"Yes some are but you are so hung up in the past about what happened with Sha..." He paused for a second. "You still love him."

"What?" I asked shocked.

"You still love Shawn."

"No I don't."

"You do."

"No I..."

"Shut up!" He shouted at me. "After all he put you through you still love him. You're the type of girl who loves it when a guy is aggressive. A guy who takes charge." He said scooting closer to me making me back away into the door. I reach behind me to pull on the door handle. "Is that what you want Layla? You want me to take charge of you?" He said leaning closer.

"What are you doing?" I asked a little nervous. If he tries anything I'm going to have to hurt him.

"Answer the question Layla. Do you want me to be aggressive and rough with you. To control everything you do."

"Kace stop it."

He paused and looked at me. "If that's what you want then just know I can't help you." He said before leaning back in his seat. "I really like no love you Layla. I would never do anything to hurt you in anyway. I hope you realize that soon."

KNOCK KNOCK

We turned towards Kaces window to see Ryder. Kace rolled down his window.

"You guys ok? We seen you stopped back here."

Kace looked at me before responding. "We're fine."

"Layla?" Ryder asked.

"Um yeah we're fine just heard some noise in the under carriage. Wanted to see if it stopped or not."

"Ok." Ryder said before turning towards Kace. "I'm going to follow you in case there's anymore truck problems. Kace when we get back we're going to have a talk."

"Yea sure." Kace said before rolling up his window. "You know you didn't have to lie to him."

"It wasn't his business to know what we were talking about."
