Jay was suspicious of her the whole way home, she was smiling to herself and that was unlike her even though she was such a bubbly character. "Okay spit it out, what's gotten into you?" He broke the silence in the car. She shot him an evil eye, "I don't know what you're talking about" she defending herself. Jay laughed, it was funny watching her get all flustered just because she was a bad liar. "Come on, of course you do. The blushing...the smiling, you're hiding something" he said while poking her arm and smiling. She screwed up her face, "no I'm not" she huffed. Jay laughed at her one last time, "yeah right" he said before leaving it at that for now.
They arrived at jays place and they immediately went to bed, they were absolutely exhausted. When the morning rolled around she immediately checked her phone just in case the firefighter from mollys last night had found her number, she laughed when she realised how stupid that would be, of course he didn't but she didn't care because she'd soon find his. She got changed rather quickly and got to the kitchen before jay, that never happened. "Woah, somethings definitely going on with you. You're never up before me..." jay said while still being suspicious of his little sister. She ignored his nosey manners and handed him his breakfast, "well there's a first for everything so..." she smiled and ate her cereal. Jay narrowed his eyes at her, the only time he's ever saw her push him away and act so dumb is when there's a boy involved. He was so protective, especially since Alex happened, so he wasn't really keen on anyone taking a liking to her in that way.
"Stop staring at me and get your shoes on" lily said while she washed the dishes, she could always sense when jay was trying to figure her out. Jay rolled his eyes but got up anyways, they both grabbed their badges, guns and jackets then headed to jays car. The whole car ride to the district was basically just an interrogation, jay was asking her all these questions and lily avoided them by changing the topic. "Who is he?" Jay said with a raised eyebrow. Lily turned to face him and scoffed, he had asked every question under the sun but that one. "There isn't a boy, now shut up" she said with a half annoyed half amused tone. Jay laughed at her, he knew she was lying because she was being bitter about it, "okay then..." he said with a suspicious tone which made lily scoff.
Jay found it hilarious, he would soon find out from someone else but he just loved winding her up. They made their way into the district and upstairs into the bullpen when hank immediately saw them, "you're back on field work" he said to lily before vanishing into his office again. She sighed in relief and smiled, she went to the locker room and put her things into her locker. Jay decided to tell hailey, "there's something going on with her, nothing bad but she's not telling me something..." he said quietly to his partner. Hailey laughed, "you mean there's a special someone she's hiding from you?" Hailey corrected him with a raised eyebrow. Jay rubbed his face in realisation, "yeah probably" he said while not wanting to believe it. Hailey smiled, "she's not 15 anymore, she knows her boundaries. She'll be fine" she reassured jay. He didn't want to let her fall into another abusive relationship but he knew he had to let breath so he agreed, "yeah, you're right" he sighed before lily re appeared and sat at her desk.
They all got on with their paper work, "we've got a bomb threat, CFD are on the scene but they need back up so suit up" hank said before walking away. Lily's mind fluttered at the thought of seeing the firefighter, she kept her cool so jay wouldn't gain even more suspicion. They all helped each other suit up and grabbed their guns then left, when they arrived at the house CFD were clearing the block, boden was shouting out orders and all intelligence could do was stand by. "Hank we saw two suspects leaving the house just before you rolled up" boden told Voight. Hank turned to his detectives and gave them their duties, "olinsky, Halstead you take the back. Upton, Halstead you take the front, the rest of you pad out and keep your ears on" he barked at them before the partners ran off to their assigned posts.
Lily had noticed the firefighter from last night, she flashed him a quick smile before grabbing her gun from her leg strap and running off behind al. "Sarge there's no sign of anyone" Kevin said through his radio. There was a moment of silence before a reply came back, "stand by" hank ordered them to stay in position. "Chief we've got all of the victims out but one of them keeps saying that there was a man putting something around the back" Casey said as he helped an old lady onto the gurney.
Boden took immediate action, "hank get your detectives away from the house now!" He shouted to Voight who was waiting for any word. Before anything could happen there was a whistling coming from the house, "do you hear that?" Lily said to olinsky. Casey and gallo ran around the back of the house as quick as they could, "Get back now!" Hank shouted through his radio. Jay and hailey backed up immediately but since the bomb was around the back of the house no one knew what was going on.
Casey and gallo made it onto the back yard, Casey covered Alvin and gallo covered lily. BOOM. A huge explosion blew up the house, the two firefighters had tackled the detectives to the ground so they wouldn't take as much of the impact. "Are you okay?" Gallo said worriedly as he got off of lily to help her up. She looked up to see a tall dark haired firefighter who she immediately recognised, "yeah I'm good, is everyone safe?" She said thinking about the rest of the unit. She soon got her answer when jay and Hank ran around the back to see gallo helping lily up off of the floor, "lily! Are you okay?" Jay said as he ran over to her. Lily smiled and nodded, Casey tapped gallos shoulder, "come on gallo boden needs us to clear the area" he said in a huff. Gallo flashed her a smile and left to go clean up, "are you hurt?" Hank said to al and lily. They both shook their heads, "no we're good, Casey and gallo stepped up in time" al said while picking up his gun and badge.
