The ambulance pulled up outside of the small parking lot, Brett and Mackey jumped out and carried over the back board to where lily was lying. "Mackey start an IV line" Brett ordered as she checked Lily's breath sounds. "Good bilateral breath sounds on both sides, let's get her to med" Brett said while slipping the backboard under Lily's petite body.  The pair carried the backboard over to the gurney while jay and Hank stayed by her side, "you can both ride in the back" Brett said to the detectives as she finished sliding the gurney onto the ramp and into the back of the ambo.  Jay and Hank nodded and climbed in after Mackey, "we'll meet you at med" hailey said while closing the ambulance doors.  She tapped the back of the ambo to let Brett know she was good to go and the ambulance sped off with the sirens and lights on.

Lily could feel Hank and jay holding her hand, she wasn't asleep but she was tired. "Is she gonna be okay?" Jay said with worry. Mackey smiled and nodded, "yeah, she's alert and she's responding the meds. If she stays stable then she'll be fine" she reassured them. Jay and Hank exchanged thankful glances, lily began to gain some strength back so she squeezed jays hand a little to let him know she was okay. Jay smiled sadly at her, he felt like he failed her once again. Hank got his phone out from his pocket, "Kim, please say you got something..." he said hopefully into his phone.

There was a small pause, "okay thanks, see you all at med" he said before hanging up the phone and turning back to jay and lily. "They've found a knife covered in blood, probably Lily's blood. But he's in the wind again..." Hank shared the news. Jay nodded in disappointment and turned to look at lily noticing her grip had tightened even more, "I got you, I got you" he said while holding her back.

A few more minutes of silence had passed before they pulled up into the ambulance bay, Hank and jay jumped out first and let the paramedics do their work. They wheeled the gurney into the ER and Will immediately noticed jay looking at him with red puffy eyes, "jay? please say that isn't lily? Jay?!" He said sounding scared. Hank let the brothers talk in private as he left to go meet the unit in the waiting room outside. Jay pulled Will aside so they had some quiet, "it's lily. He did it will, and I wasn't there to help her. I wasn't..." jay explained and began to hyperventilate before Will cut him off. "Hey, it's not your fault. No one could've known, she's strong she'll be fine jay" Will pulled him into a sibling hug while replying back truthfully. Jay pulled away and looked at him, he nodded then left to go wait in the waiting room like everyone else.

Will couldn't help her since she was too close to him but dr Choi and nurse sexton were treating her with their best care. It wasn't long before she was repaired as much as she could be so dr Choi and nurse sexton walked over to Will and told him that she's okay. He sighed in relief and went to find jay outside.

Jay was sat in between Hank and hailey while the unit stood surrounding them. They were all silent but they could feel each other's love and concern for lily fill the room, jay noticed Will walking over to them so he jumped up. "Is she okay, is she awake?" Jay said almost climbing down his brothers throat. Will smiled weakly, "yeah she's fine and awake, you can all see her but only a few at a time..." Will said quietly. Hank nodded and looked around, "good. You two first" he said while looking at the two brothers stood in front of them all. The rest of the unit all nodded sincerely in agreement, "thanks Sarge" jay said before leaving the waiting room with Will.

The two brothers silently walked to Lily's treatment room and stopped outside to look at her through the glass door, she was sat up and fiddling with the blanket she was holding. "God, wait till I get my hands on him..." jay said angrily.  Will agreed and they both walked into her room.  She looked up immediately at the sound of the doors opening, "hey guys..." she spoke first.  Jay sat down next to her while will stood at the end of her bed, "hey lil, how you feeling?" Jay said softly.  She smiled at him with the halstead smile they all cherished, "I've been better" she joked and they all laughed.  She looked at them realising something, "what did he do?" She muttered to herself, even though her brothers heard, while pulling down her hospital gown to reveal a wound that had been stitched up.  Jay and Will looked at each other in confusion.

Jay remembered her chest being bloody but he couldn't remember seeing what caused it.  "What is it?" Jay said worriedly.  She turned her head a few times to try and see it, but to her it was upside down and she couldn't see that far up her chest, "I don't know I can't see it" she said in frustration.  Jay got up and took a look at it for her as Will walked closer to them both, jays face grew wide with horror and anger.  Lily got a bit concerned, "what? What is it?" She questioned cluelessly.  Jay turned his head to look at Will who had also realised what it was, "one second..." Will said while searching the room for something.

Lily was waiting patiently, Will turned around after a minute of looking around the room with a hand held mirror in his hands.  "Here, you'll see it better" he said while handing her the mirror.  She took a deep breath then held the mirror in one hand and pulled down her gown with the other, her face screwed up in disgust as she saw a huge capital A with a small smiley face under it.  "A-Alex, I'm gonna have this on me forever?" She enquired with a tear in her eye.  Jay grabbed the mirror from her before she could drop it and put it down, he sat back down and grabbed her hand.  Will went to speak but his buzzer went off meaning he was being paged somewhere.  He quickly ran out leaving jay and lily alone.  Jay turned to answer her, "not forever, it'll heal" he said reassuringly.  They sat in a comfortable silence for a second before jay got up to go get hailey and Hank.

Just as hailey and Hank stepped into her room jays phone rang, so instead of joining them he stepped outside to answer the call. He was confused to see the no caller ID but he accepted the call anyways.
Caller: "she's got a pretty nice apartment, such a shame she isn't here with me"

Jays heart sunk as he realised it was Alex, not only was he tormenting her, he was in her home.

Jay: "you son of a bitch..." jay started to answer him but stopped when he heard Alex smashing things in her apartment.

Caller: "I wonder what's in her bedroom..."

Jay was filling up with rage but he hung up since he couldn't listen to anymore, he rang back over to Lily's room to tell Hank. "He's in her apartment..." jay said frantically which got all three's attention. Lily looked at jay full of worry, Hank got up and left to tell the unit and jay followed behind. Hailey stayed with lily so she wasn't alone, "it's okay, we'll find him and he'll be locked up" hailey said while gently hugging her work friend. Lily nodded knowing that even though Alex was smart, he was stupid for messing with a cop.
