Tsukishima couldn't believe it. Standing in front of them... was Kuroo and Kenma from Nekoma. Of course, they found their way here.
Kuroo had an insane smile on his face, his clothes ripped and scratches covering his body. His messy black hair was somehow even messier and he had a backpack thrown over his shoulder. Kenma was hidden a little behind him, his own clothes in a better state but still pretty bad. He held the torch that was currently blinding Tsukishima and Michi.
"Hello Tsukki," Kuroo shouted, a smirk present on his lips.
"How did you get caught up in all this?" Tsukishima was not doing well. Not only was his boyfriend somehow immune and working for the people who created the virus, but Kuroo and Kenma had also at some point, came to Miyagi and got stuck.
"Oh, Ken Ken wanted to see shrimpy, guess we got our timing wrong," Kuroo laughed, scratching the back of his head.
Tsukishima slapped his forehead, of course, he did.
"Kei? Who are these people?" Michi's hand tightened on his arm, making Tsukishima sigh.
"Michi, this is Kuroo and Kenma, Nekoma's captain and setter."
Michi peeked out a little, his eyes catching Kenma who stared into his soul. "H-Hello?"
Kenma stuck out his tongue before retreating back behind Kuroo. "Sorry about him, he's been a little strange since Shrimpy got infected. Plus he hasn't been able to play any of his games since the power cut off so he's pretty lost."
"What are you doing here?" Tsukishima crossed his arms over his chest, not caring for whatever story Kuroo was about to tell them.
Kuroo didn't seem to care about the salty attitude, walking up to Tsukishima and pulling him into a sideways hug. "Well, that is a long story. Come on, we'll take you to our hideout."
Kiyoko snuck through the tight pathway. She felt horrible. If she had forced Misaki into the vents, she would still be alive. Kiyoko had heard the gunshots. She knew Misaki didn't have a gun. Misaki was dead.
Kiyoko forced the pit of guilt down, she couldn't focus on that. Looking into the room, Kiyoko hoped that no would be there. The quicker she got out of the vents, the quicker she would be free to walk about.
Peering into the room she found, she cursed her luck. Joji, Kenji and Ayao were all sitting around a table.
She could sense the dark aura around Joji and Ayao. Somehow, Kenji didn't have the aura around him and he seemed more relaxed and carefree. There were two free chairs around the table. Joji seemed to snap, jumping up and slamming his hands on the table. "How did that little freak find this?!"
Neither members flinched. They knew this was coming.
"Like I said when we brought him in," Kenji started a wide smile covering his face, "we think that 'little freak' is the one who hacked our system a few months ago."
"But why was this on our system anyway?! Those devices are meant to be top secret!"
"Calm yourself Joji, getting upset won't fix this. That teen barely got enough time to read the letter, let alone memorise the instructions on the back," Ayao stated bluntly, not even looking up from her tea when Joji growled at her.
"I am not taking any chances. Infect them all. And find the two runaways!" Joji glared at Kenji and Ayao who wasn't affected in the slightest.
Kenji hopped up, picking up a phone from the side. "You can count on me," he sang, a wide smirk covering his face. "I do so love a challenge."
"Just get on with your job," Ayao ordered, walking over to a tray. About thirty syringes were lined on the tray, each with a hundred warnings posted over them. "I'll take care of the freaks."
Joji watched both leaving, sighing heavily. "I wish I could count on you but if today has taught me anything, it's not to trust anyone." Joji almost looked like he regretted it. But whatever angel possessed him for that brief second, was quickly kicked out by the many demons. He took a deep breath, rolling up to the desk and pressing a large black button. "Dear trusted colleagues. It seems there has been a breach in our security. Two people have broken into the lab. If you see either, please back away and get your closest guard. Extra guards are being deployed to help with the search. We hope this won't disrupt your important work but if you see a girl with black hair, pale skin and glasses or a tall boy with blond hair and glasses, please alert us. We thank you for your bravery and cooperation. Things will return to normal soon."
Joji straightened up his clothes, checking for any sign of blood before he strolled out of the room.
Kiyoko was about to back up- strangely not fancying breaking out now everyone was on the look for her- but something caught her eyes. Joji had left behind the note. It was time to work out what got the boss so worked up.
Kiyoko gently removed the vent, making sure not to cause any noise as she approached the table. Her eyes widened at Yamaguchi's handwriting. This was from Yamaguchi. The drawing on the back was detailed instructions, showing them how to build a radio tower using the supplies in this building. Kiyoko hardened her resolve. This is Yamaguchi's last wish. She will build the radio tower and get them out.
Kuroo jumped down, the sharp wire fencing catching slightly on his clothes and adding to the number of rips he had. "Here we are!" Kuroo held out his hands in a show-off fashion.
"This is..." Tsukishima couldn't believe his eyes. He should have recognised it sooner.
"Shoyo's house," Kenma finished a sad expression on his face.
"When the outbreak hit, we went searching. Shrimpy had some weird stuff in his house. That included the wire fence. We have no idea what he was going to use it for beforehand but we repurposed it to protect us. Come on," Kuroo grabbed Tsukishima, dragging him forward.
"Heh, so you found them."
Tsukishima froze at the person standing before him. That was Tamaki the cannibal.
