The walls closed. No Amelia. We had possible hope for her, but you doubted and was quite broken inside. She'd only seen a Scorder (griever) once as it chased after her. It was a terrifying monster! it had a bulbous* body, with dark beady eyes which look right through you, it had many additives such as spikes, shears, and rods. It is a similar size to a cow, and moves in a rolling motion which is fast enough that the doppler effect can happen. At the back of the Scorders tail, it has some sort of spike on it, it wasn't very easy to get up close to it to inspect it as that could've ended one way... death. It's body gave off a horrific scent, enough to make someone sick that's for sure. It's body was slimy and sticky :smirk: and it's mouth was huge with monstrous teeth, like the mosasaurus's mouth. (I'm being dramatic)
A/N - a Scorder is pronounced 'score-der', and a bulbous is a round/circular object. Like the Scorders body :> hope your enjoying the story!
*y/n pov*
It was night time, you couldn't bear going for dinner from the unfortunate events which had happened in the time span of 20 minutes. The guilt overflows your body as you feel like you should've gone into the maze to look for them, but your mind forbid you from doing that as you have to be here for the other Gladers. You called it a night and blamed the overthinking to lack of sleep and as you drifted off you wondered what Amelia would be doing right now, dead or alive.
*Time skip*
It was early in the morning and had spent so much time last night worrying you just decided to get up. You got everything ready for the Glade that morning as you watched the sun slowly uncover itself from its own sheets and shine its rays of light onto your smooth s/c skin. But ruined it when you remembered what happened the night before. You walked around and waited for the protectors of the Glade to roar with fire as they opened and answered your questions. Your gazed followed to the greenie who was roaming around the Glade freely, and so like any polite person would you decided to introduce yourself. As the leader you should've introduced yourself already, but your mind was focusing on other things. Today I was going to make myself known to the greenie and tell her about the Glade. From what I heard from some of the Gladers, the greenie tried to make a run for it into the maze after getting out the box. One of the runners caught up and told the greenie what to do and what not to do. I thought I heard one of them suggest that she could become a possible runner.
We didn't have official rules yet, but as a leader I thought it's time we make some. I'd tell everyone in a meeting later on though, I still wanted to go and meet the greenie and introduce myself. Saying that I wandered over to the fresh soul. "greenie" I said with slight dominance with my voice as she stopped to wait for me.
*Greenie's pov*
I was walking around the Glade having a small chat with one of the girls who helped me at the box and she was giving me rough details about the Glade and how outside of the walls was a maze and her name was Amber or something like that. I was astonished and mesmerised by the fact there was a literal maze surrounding me. I was looking around to then see another girl walking towards me with confidence in her steps. I didn't recognise her from yesterday when I came out the box. She walked over to me and introduced herself to be y/n. She explained to me how she was the leader and she gave me a tour of everything. She then told me there was going to be a meeting later and showed me what room it was going to be in and invited me to join.
She then politely excused herself. I presume to tell the others about the meeting. I didn't have much feeling or a judgement at that moment so I numbly watched her stride over to the other girls.
