You got up from your back to see Anna's face. Her eyes were wide, like they could pop right out of their sockets, Mouth wide open. I looked down to where I was just sliding on my back and saw 3 lifeless Scorders.
"It was a success" you happily said. Right then you could see the sky lightening up, you smiled then made eye contact with Anna. You both were out of breath so you barely said anything, you just moved your eyes towards the way you came then back at her, signalling to go back to the Glade. She nodded and you both took off. She kept glancing at me but I kept my focus ahead.
She led me through the maze back to where we placed Bella. Thankfully she was still there but we now could see the dark bulging veins that roamed beneath her skin. We also saw where she was injected by the syringe, it was nasty. We knew the Glade doors would already be open as the maze was light now, so we carefully brought Bella back. We got around the corner and all we could see is Shelly, nervously waiting. She looked up and her eyes widened then she shouted "THEY'RE HERE, THEY'RE BACK". To which more of the girls came over. We got to the Glade and pointed to the nurses for the serum. Shelly ran over and me and Anna dropped onto our knees getting our breaths back.
I signalled for one of the girls to get a drink of water. I could see Aris at the back of the girls with a smile on his face. I got my drink then Shelly asked us how we did it, Anna turned to me. "We ran the whole night and came across 4 Scorders." "Even better we didn't just outrun them, she killed all 4 of them". Everyone went silent and just stared at me.
A couple months later Bella is back on her feet and she's much better, but she has changed. She's more aggressive, but stays a good leader. Now everyone is more frightened of her so they are more professional now with her. We'd gotten a few more greenies and they seem pretty chill. Me and Aris have grown close; and me and Shelly are now inseparable. It's nice to feel like I have a younger sister. Even though we're not blood related the connection is forever going to be there.
