SUNA RINTAROU

I jolted awake from my sleep, suddenly straightening my back from the dream I just had. It was then I realized I was awake as I took a look around my surroundings.

"No way, Shin..." I panted lightly, muttering to myself.

I was in my room, just like the scene a few seconds ago, except there was no blonde girl around who goes by the name Misumi.

Memories of the dream I had were still as fresh as day. The exact words, exact setting, and exact movement — I could still clearly remember. And as I ponder on it longer, realization struck me.

The continuation of that dream I had. The night Shinyya and I had our first encounter...

Dammit bub. You've been suffering...

It was all so clear now why she'd hide it from me. And I understand it, all so well now...

How could I forget something so tragic to remember? I raised my hand, bringing it up to my eye.

All these years she's been carrying the memories of her past. Nightmares about their deaths and replay of the tragic night. Shin has been strong for too long and I just remembered now; Exactly what secret she's been hiding—

RING! RING!

I broke out of my thoughts, turning to my phone where the sun's rays hit lightly. The caller ID was Osamu, calling at exactly 10:00 AM. But as I checked my phone, there were multiple missed calls from Atsumu and him yet not a single text from Shinyya who'd usually greet me first thing in the morning.

I frowned, maybe she's just busy, grabbing my phone before clicking accept.

"What do you want Osam—"

"We've been calling you for hours!" He slightly shouted from the other line. His usual calm composure was lost and panic seem to replace it.

"I just woke up." I replied lazily. "What's up?"

"Thought you might just want to know, Shin was brought to the hospital."

Dammit hurry up, legs!

My shoes echoed throughout the long hallway of the building as I ran as fast as I could. Nurses gave me weird looks, some few patients who walked with their escorts too. By the end of the hall three policemen exited a certain room, followed by a certain grey-haired male.

I sped up my pace, passing by the three men and yelled out Osamu's name. "Osamu!" He turned to me with more exhaustion than usual in his silver orbs.

"You're here." He spoke stoically as I stopped in front of him, hands on my knees as I panted for air.

"W-what happened?" I asked. "Where's...Shin?"

"Inside."

"Can I see her?"

"Not now," he said, looking at the closed door, "'Tsumu's pissed right now, more like worried. He's scolding her nonstop and I can't stop him."

"How— why— what exactly happened?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as I tapped my feet impatiently on the floor. "Why won't you just tell me how she ended up here? Did she faint? Is she sick? What—"

"She was attacked last night."

"Attacked...?"

What does he mean— wait.
