(SLIGHT MENTIONS ON SELF HARM AND SUICIDE)

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW

Even after seeing her parents die in front of her, watching her bandmates suffer from a horrible and unreasonable death, and was isolated from the world for two years, Shinyya managed to stay composed despite the depressing events she's been through.

That thought has always lingered in Osamu's mind since she saw her again — all laughing and smiling after coming back from a mental therapy that she had to go through for her own good. He was relieved to know that Shinyya didn't think of self-harm or even attempted taking her own life as she still continued moving forward like nothing happened.

And if he thought of placing himself in the girl's shoes, he knew he would go insane after witnessing what she did.

He thanked the gods for the kind of person Shinyya is and for bringing her into his and his twin's life...but all those thinking and comforts of relief were occasionally replaced by anxiety and fear.

Fear of what he knew will eventually come.

No one around them would understand his and Atsumu's overprotectiveness on the girl, not even Suna. They wouldn't also take the risk of letting more people know of what's happening, even their closest friends, but Osamu knew one way or another, someone else atleast has to help them.

He was hoping it would be Suna since he's basically in love  and dating Shinyya. The look in the middle-blocker's eyes whenever he had the violinist in his vision changes drastically from an unmotivated, lazy stare to a look of full affection and love that any girl would want from her boyfriend.

But it's not his decision to tell Suna, it's Shinyya's and Shinyya alone. Thus, he knew, things soon will be changing.

Osamu lets out a heavy sigh of frustration as he leaned on the seat, taking a look of his surroundings. To his right sat Suna, obviously attached to the performance in front of him, and his few other teammates and to his left was Kita, also deeply listening to the music Shinyya produced—

"Where the hell's 'Tsumu?!"

"He's in the backstage," Aran reminded, "remember?"

Right. Osamu thought, nodding. We're now taking more thorough precautions.

This time, Shinyya decided to stick to the original piece and being the prodigy she was, played like Albinoni himself which got the entire audience and the judges entranced as the music circulated around the auditorium.

Once it ended, the crowd erupted into claps following a standing ovation by the judges who sat in the front row. Indeed Shinyya put up a worthy show that got everyone cheering, and, as Osamu turned to look at his friend, it shocked him.

That, the usually blunt and emotionless, Suna had a small yet most genuine smile of all the people around; and his eyes, they told everything. Of course, he also didn't waste a minute to pull his phone out of his pocket to take snaps of the girl on the stage. His teammates were also too occupied to notice this rare sight.

Right after all performances, the team exited the auditorium to meet up with Shinyya and Atsumu in the hall. There they saw the two sitting in the benches talking and laughing.

Everyone approached them, showering compliments to the violinist about how great she did but while Osamu was about to greet her, he paused and froze.

He felt something strange; an unfamiliar yet familiar presence lurking around.

He's here. Osamu thought, looking around for a particularly faceless man.

He's somewhere here!

His grey orbs landed on a silhouette who was watching their group from behind a wall, until it slowly backed away. Squinting his eyes, Osamu started walking away from the group to follow that silhouette.

There's no doubt! He said in his mind. This is my only chance.

The grey-haired male started sprinting once the silhouette did too and it caught his friends and the people's attention, but he didn't care, he just kept pushing through the crowded area.

"'Samu!" Atsumu yelled.

"Osamu! Where are you going?" He heard Kita half-shouted.

But the Miya twin paid no mind in desperate search for that silhouette. Soon, he found himself slowly catching up as he outstretched his arm, finally being able to grab a shoulder. He harshly yanked the body to face him and did not hesitate to tackle to the ground whilst he brought his fist up for a punch.

"Who are you?!" Osamu asked angrily. "What do you want with Shin and her—"

"—an old man...?"

"P-p-please don't hurt me!" said man trembled as he raised both hands in surrender. He was scared shitless and he had no idea why he was tackled on the ground with some young teen straddling his frail body. "I-I'll give you m-money! O-or everything I have in me! J-just please let me go."

"'Samu?! What the hell!"

Atsumu's voice echoed throughout the hall as the running footsteps of his friends came nearer.

I...let him go...Osamu thought, his eyes shaking. That...was my only chance.

"I-I'm sorry." He mumbled to the old man and got off, helping him up as he voluntarily dusted the old man's creased clothes. "I thought you were someone else."

"Y-you're not gonna take my m-money?" The old man was still traumatized, making Osamu cringe in regret as he shook his head.

"No...it's my fault. I'm sorry again."

Without a word, the old man slowly backed away, limping as he did, leaving Osamu standing in embarrassment in the center of the crowd.

But I swear I felt that dangerous feeling. He balled his fists in frustration. I was too slow.

"Don't worry, Shin and I noticed it too."

Atsumu whispered in his brother's ear, making Osamu turn around to be met with his twin and Shinyya as he lets out a sigh of relief.

"I let him get away..."

"What's important is that Shin's still here."

The grey-haired teen nodded in agreement before facing the ground—

"Osamu," Kita's icy-cold voice spoke, sending shivers down his spine. "What the hell was that? Suddenly separating from the group only to tackle an old man, of all people?"

"G-gomen, Kita-san!" He bowed in front of the captain. "It won't happen again."

"Good."

And a few seconds later, all pressure Osamu was feeling were suddenly all gone. The anxiety and suspicion that filled his body awhile ago was gone and everything was back to normal.

Like how his tummy grumbles from time to time.

Damn, I'm hungry. He sighed.
