Catching up

Alex. Kara. Sam. Ruby. Maggie. J'onn. Lena.

They all go back to Kara and Lena's place where they order pizza and get settled in the downstairs living room. When the pizza arrives Kara goes to get it and brings it back to everyone. Once they are done eating they talk for a bit.

So Maggie how did you end up being a detective with the NCPD if you were in London. That's a big distance.

I was the lieutenant of my squad back in London but there were budget cuts and they didn't want me to have to go through the process of like finding another place to go and all that. Because transfers take months to happen cause you have to get fitted with a new squad and stuff so they have to figure out what the best squad would be for you. So when my boss told me about it he said " your good police Sawyer and I'd hate to see talent like yours waste away behind a desk. Name a place and a job with government and it's yours. Anywhere you want to go anything you want to do. You want to go FBI you got it, want your own task force it's yours. Tell me what you want and we'll make it happen" so immediately I'm like "I want to go to Midvale it's a small town but it's where I grew up." In my mind I'm thinking I could go back to Midvale catch up with Kara and Alex have a few drinks although I know Kara can't get drunk which is no fun but anyways I'm like yeah that's the perfect place. So he says " are you sure give it some thought I'm giving you the rest of the week off so tell me next week" I say ok and I leave. Later on in my loft I am thinking and I'm like maybe I could pick some place close to Midvale like maybe 1-3 hours away so you know I can still like visit and stuff but it would be like day trips on weekends off and stuff like that. So I'm researching and I come across National City and I see an article that says "Supergirl does it again" so I'm like no way that can't be her. Her being Kara. There's no way Alex let her do that. Because I mean of course Superman Clark is her cousin so it only made sense that it be her but I'm like there's no way then I read the byline and it says Kara Luthor-Danvers and I'm like ok I get the Danvers part but not the Luthor because I know she didn't marry Lex. So I go in the next week and I'm like I wanna go to National City. So well here I am.

Why didn't you call?

I tried but I lost your numbers when I switched to the new phone company in London and then half of my luggage got stuck in customs but I never forgot about you guys. Alex is my twin sister and Kar you're my nerdy dorky baby sister that is so innocent in a world full of hate so I never ever forgot about you. Every day I hoped that you would be safe Eliza and Alex too. You guys are the only family I have.

What about your parents?

Well um. My mum died when I was 5 and well I'm gay and my dad isn't.. well he doesn't..

He's a homophobic jerk that doesn't know how to except that his daughter is who she is and that she won't change for anybody so he can either like it and accept her, dislike it and except her, or hate her and not deserve her love and respect.

How old are you

Almost the exact same age as Alex. I'm a couple of hours older. Our moms where best friends just like us and Alex was born early so she kinda stole my birthday since she decided that she wanted to have the same birthday as me. She always wanted what I had whether it be a toy or a lunch or something and I guess she decided that she wanted my birthday too. So she was born a couple hours after me.
