(Alex's POV)
Ruby and Lena got back about an hour or so after they left which was three and a half hours ago so its about 1:10 now. Everybody is sitting on the couch right now aside from Ruby because mom came to surprise her and took her back to Midvale for a week. Maggie came over about an hour ago so that we could all hang out. Lee asked us to wait before we tell Maggie at least until she tells J'onn. We all have some sort of beverage in our hands.
Soooo Little Luthor how far along are you??
Lena spits out the tea she was drinking and starts semi choking. When she is done she coughs and starts talking.
Wh-wha-. What!?!?! You know? Alex? Kara?
"It wasn't me" we both say at the same time.
Relax Little Luthor. I figured it out on my own. It wasn't really hard, I mean the loss of appetite, the vomiting with nothing in your stomach, the comment about needing your strength? I'm a detective its kind of like my job to notice the small things.
Oh. Well I am about 8 weeks but closer to 9.
When do you find out the genders?
When they tell me.

You can only find out a child's gender identity when they make that decision for themselves. Because the babies are Kryptonian they grow at a slightly accelerated rate than human fetus' so I can find out the sex in a couple of weeks. Whether they want a gender and if so which one will be up to them. If their gender identity happens to match up with their sex great. If it doesn't it's still great.
She's confusing the shit out of me.

What she's trying to say is we can find out what parts the kids have in the near future. Like whether they have a female anatomy or a male anatomy. We will find out what they identify as when they tell us.

Well say that you didn't identify as female but as male, or as nothing at all just human. Your pronouns are she/her. But what if they were he/him or they/them. What you identify as is your gender. What parts you have is your sex.
Ok I think I got it. I won't know if I have nieces or nephews until they are born?
