"I know you look handsome, but it doesn't allow you to walk half shirtless in my office..... Did you think you could appeal to my workers if you show off your sexiness?"
"Ah! You've mistaken. I did appeal, but not to your workers,
to you"
...
How long is this gonna take to start. It was supposed to start at 10 and it's already half past 11.
"What are you thinking" her voice suddenly cracked my flow of thoughts.
"Nothing" I tried to keep a poker face despite my impatience. My hands were restless and I could barely control it.

"Are you sick?" She asked leaning forward peeking to look at my face.
I swiftly lowered my head and turned the other way.
"Don't think too much, they're delaying the auction so that one person can come" she said without hesitation.
"One person?" I wondered.
"Hmm. He's the most popular businessman in the country now. He has a lot of worldwide influence and is currently opting to become the president candidate too"
I shook my head thinking how big a person he was.
"This auction is probably conducted for him. That's why they're waiting for him to join"
"Then isn't it obvious that we won't be able to win the gallery" I ask then suddenly hold back after seeing her expression.

Sober and depressed she became after I brought that topic.
"Are you okay?" I leaned close to her but she pushed me far and shook her head.
"This gallery is my family's ancient collection. None of them live now but this holds their memories. I deliberately signed up for this to get back what I lost"
She spoke and suddenly grew silent.
For a split second I almost reached to her shoulder but held back immediately.
Just then the crowd unsettled and everyone began to cheer at the entrance. Flashes and reporters accompanied him as he walked in through the door.
He waved his hand like in some campaign and took the seat right in the first row.
We were seated two rows after his. We could barely see what's going on in the front the reporters and interviewers crowd had completely taken over the space.
I sighed.
"Maybe you should be more like you for him"
She looked dazed. "Huh?"
"Just Rob him like you do to the other business men in this country"
I casually passed the comment and sunk in my chair but her gaze pierced me through and through. My body got stiff and subconsciously drifted a little far from her.
"I. don't. Rob. people." She spat every word like it was fire.
"I mean, not Rob. Buy his shares make partners and stuff. That's what I tried to mean" I smirked trying to cover up what I told before.
She saw me for a few seconds after and then turned to the front without any sign. But it was enough for me to sweat my life out.
Though beautiful, she was a scary lady. Her mood swings could get dangerously bad if your not in the right track.
I learnt it lately too.
The lady on the stage now announced the beginning of the auction.
Everyone raised the price to their feasible levels but the guy in the front didn't even speak.
I was wondering why he wasn't calling for any price. Then why come in the first place if he just came to witness it and not buy it.
5 million dollars!
It grew silent after someone called for it.
5million dollars first call!
5million dollars second call!
"10million dollars!!" He yelled loudly and the hall grew quiet again.
He raised the bar twice the value and no one even owned up to call for any raise than that.
My hands were restlessly moving and toes fiddling for the anxiety.

More was the anxiety that Ji sun wasn't calling for any price. Especially when this gallery was the most precious to her.
10 million dollars first call!
I kept shifting gaze from Ji sun to the stage to the man, again Ji sun, the stage and to the man.

She sat quietly not speaking a word since it started. If she was gonna sit idle then why attend this, why that story of it being so precious.
10 million dollars second call!!
My feet weren't moving, they got stiff and I was sweating. Somewhere deep inside myself I wanted to win that gallery for her. It was her family's only possession left. I had to do something.
No one up for the gallery?? The most precious one and the most ancient antiques filled.
