"I believe in you Jungkook"
Her voice spread through me like poison.
Suddenly I felt something heavy on my chest. Uncomfortably sitting on the chair I couldn't meet her eyes for the next few moments.
The fists I held slowly lost grip when she smiled like it was nothing and continued to sip on her coffee.
I was slightly uneasy, my head performing an internal flip with thoughts and questions.
"Are you okay?" Her voice snapped me out of my thought loss.
"Uh...I...I'll get going. I'm a little tired" I got up and swiftly exited the place without a second glance at our table.
As soon as I stepped out of the café my phone vibrated in my coat pocket. I picked it only to see my dad's name flashing on the screen. Fickling between to answer or not I decided the latter and shoved it back into my pocket as I left hurriedly.
Again I got the same feeling when I sat in my car, the feeling that I'd never felt before for anyone. Feeling of guilt, despise, care and... love.
Before I stepped on my gas pedal I looked at her once through my rear mirror. Sitting all alone through the glass pane of the café, staring into space bearing a tiny smile like none of this ever happened.
I pursed my lips and stepped on the gas with full power steering through the road and out of her sight.
Just when I slammed my door keys on my table and shoved my bag on my couch, my phone rang again. I picked it up, annoyed, only to see 10missed calls from the same person.
I called back.
"Jungkook!! Kook-ah! Is that you? What happened my son? You weren't picking your phone. I was worried to death"
"I..uh...I was driving dad"
"Thank god. I was praying that it shouldn't be something bad to you by that crazy woman!"
"Dad, I'm fine. She won't hurt me"
"No don't believe her. You know how insane she is, she might even stab a knife at your heart of she figures out who you are"
"Dad..."
"That crazy lady"
"Dad..!"
"Monstrous demon"
"DAD!!"
There was silence on the other side with only the lingering effects of his voice.
"She won't hurt me. She can never hurt me. That is all I know"
His dad kept quiet, thinking how his son had changed from being the most goal oriented to an mere emotional weakling.
"Did you just defend that woman against your dad?"
The voice trembled to show how hurt he was on the other end.
Jungkook sighed,
"It's not that I forgot why I'm here for but I trust her. She's not the same you think she is""And I..."
Before he could finish the call was disconnected. Accidentally or deliberately whichever one, it's better not to explain than to struggle with questionable emotions.
'Why am I defending for her'
He hit his head on the bed, back flat, and covered his eyes with his arms.
'Am I forgetting what I came here for? Am I forgetting my revenge?'
'Am I becoming weak?'
Slowly the night grew deeper and the clouds gathered around. It wasn't the weather but his feelings that made him feel this was the right moment to rain. Even the skies had reflected what he felt like deep inside but he refused to accept the same.
