Lovely Flashback

"I knew it Mr. Kim, I knew that he faked his identity"

My head felt hot, heart beating its best and my vision slowly betrayed me.

I was listening to something that I probably never thought will be listening to. She just spoke it, the words I never thought will come out.

'she knew?'

My hands felt numb for the tightness of my grip. I was stoned.

She looked at me and turned back to face Taehyung but my gaze were fixed on her, her only.

Neither could I see anything else nor I could hear the next moments.

"WHAT!?!" his voice exploded "you knew it all this while and still haven't fired him?"

"Watch your mouth Mr. Kim! Your crossing limits. Don't you dare raise your volume in front of me"

She glared at him like she was gonna kill him if he spoke another word.

"BUT..."

"Get out of my sight this minute. And remember one thing, your an employee of this company, yes but, I'm the boss"

She warned him, not so furiously but stern enough for him to understand why. He glared at me and walked away fiercely.

I still looked appalled. I'd already reached a conclusion that she was gonna fire me or the worst, have me killed.

"Why..." I half whispered.

In the end only those words could escape from my shocked state of mind.

"Huh? Sorry I didn't get that"
She leaned forward to me.

I cleared my throat still sweating profusely,
"Why...didn't ...you"

"Fire you?"

She completed the sentence but pretty calmly. But thats what pierced my soul away from me, because she being calm was like the silence before a tornado.

"Coffee?"

"Huh?"

"Wanna talk over a coffee?" She spoke each word crystal clear.

I nodded obediently and followed her.

At the café

"Before I start to explain anything, I would like to ask you something" she scoffed.

I nodded. I was pretty sure I would give only a positive response to whatever she asks now.

"What did I do last night?"

I choked over my coffee and coughed a few times until she tapped my head gently.

"Watch out"

I wiped myself with a tissue while she took a sip now.

"I'm waiting" she added in between her sips.

"Uh...I don't know because I...uh..."

"Hey listen, I know this enquiry might sound pointless to you but it means something important to me. So tell me what happened"

"Uh...I was sleeping in my room and I suddenly heard someone moan loudly"

She was sipping her coffee and keenly listening.

"So I went upstairs following the sound, the house was pitch black and it was scary"

She sipped slower than before.

"I reached to a door where the sound was heard maximum"

"And?"

"I opened the door and saw..."
