I've loved Namjoon my whole life. We were neighbors growing up and also best friends. We thought that we would never lose each other. We always had a "brother, sister" relationship, but when we got older that changed. We weren't little kids anymore and we started to develop feelings for each other. We dated all through middle school, high school and right after we graduated we got married. We knew we were made for each other.flashback 20 years
"Tori!!" I heard Namjoon call from outside my bedroom window. "Coming!" I yelled back. I threw on my pink shorts, rainbow sneakers, grabbed my knee pads, and helmet and ran out the front door. Namjoon was waiting for me outside on his bike. I grabbed my scooter and positioned one foot on it. "Are you ready for an awesome adventure?" Namjoon asked. "Yes let's go! Mom I'll be back soon!" I shouted to my mom inside the house. "Okay love, be careful! Oh and tell Namjoon I said hello." She shouted back. "I will!" I replied and we were off on our way.
"Where are we going?" I asked. "Just follow me, you'll find out soon." He said back to me as he peddled faster and faster. We kept going for what felt like forever until we reached a field with strawberries and woods behind it. "Look, fresh strawberries, and the woods! We are going to have so much fun!" Namjoon said with a huge smile. We both dropped our helmets and we laid down our bike and scooter, then we ran through the field.
We ran around for a long time playing little games and we also explored the woods pretending we were the different animals that lived there. We had so much fun but we started to get tired and hungry so we made the trip back to our houses.
Once we arrived we dropped our helmets once again. "Hey I'm kind of hungry, do you want to eat at my house? My mom can make us sandwiches." I said. "Sure!" He replied. We walked up to my house and kicked off our shoes. My dog, Skip, came to welcome us. "Hi Skip! I missed you!" I said wrapping her up in a big hug. "Mom we are home!" I yelled hoping my mom was somewhere near so she could hear me. "Oh hey you guys! I made you sandwiches when you were gone, I thought you would probably be hungry." My mom said ushering us to the dining table. "Wow thanks Mrs. Smith! This looks great!" Namjoon said with a big grin. "You're so welcome, and please, call me Grace. No need to be formal." She smiled and left the dining room to go and work on house work. "I had a lot of fun today Joon, thanks for taking me to that field!" I said with my mouth full of my pb&j. "Of course Tori, we should do that again next weekend." Namjoon said looking up at me with hopeful eyes.
"Thank you again Mrs. Smith, I mean Grace." Namjoon said with a little giggle as he put his shoes back on. "You're welcome here anytime Namjoon, it was good to see you!" My mom said opening the door for him. She stayed at the door watching him walk home just to make sure he made it there safely. When Namjoon reached his house his mom ushered him in the door and saw my mom and waved. She waved back with a smile. She turned to me and said, "I really like that Namjoon kid. You should stay friends with him."
