still in flashback

I reached my house when Lia called to let me know she was about five minutes away. I rushed up to my room to grab my purse and to check how much money I had. When I was done I ran back downstairs, threw my shoes back on and waited on my front steps. Before I knew it Lia pulled up in front of my house.

"Get in loser, we're going shopping."

I laughed picking myself up to walk to her car. I opened the door and hopped in. She turned on the radio and were pretty quiet on our drive there.

"So there's this discount dress store I was thinking we could go to, I think they sell used dresses but hey, it's a lot cheaper." Lia said to break the silence. "I'd love to try it out, I don't have a lot of money right now, only from babysitting on the weekends." I said as we pulled up.

We stepped inside and there was a sweet looking lady at the door ready to greet us.

"Well hello ladies, what brings you in today?" She asked. "Oh we have a school dance coming up and we want some new dresses, but we don't have a lot to spend." Lia said to the lady while taking off her sunglasses. "You have come to the right place! Everything is under $100 and there is a $50 and under rack that I can lead you to if you would like." She said walking towards the dresses. "That would be wonderful!" I said excitedly. I couldn't wait to try on dresses.

Lia and I tried on what felt like 100 dresses, we just couldn't find the perfect one. While Lia was trying on her final dress I went back to the racks.

"TORI!!" I heard Lia shout out. I rushed to her dressing room thinking something awful happened until she opened the door and I saw what she had on. She was wearing a form fitting rose gold dress and it looked wonderful on her.

"What do you think?"

"Lia, you look AMAZING!!"

"I know! It's totally not like me at all but I love it! Oh and did I tell you, Jin asked me to go to the dance with him!?"

"SHUT UP, you didn't tell me that!!"

"I literally can't believe it! I want to look my best though, does this dress really look good?"

"You look so good, you should totally get the dress, you would be dumb not to."

"Okay I'll get it!!"

"Yay!!"

*this is Lia's dress*

Lia went to check out while I kept looking through the racks. While I was looking a dress caught my eye that I hadn't seen before. It was a beautiful cream colored dress with flowers and little messages on it. I sneaked off to the dressing room to try it on and I fell in love.

"Hey Lia, can you come here please?" I asked. Lia came to my dressing room with her dress in a bag. I opened the door and her jaw dropped.

"TORI YOU LOOK AMAZING!" She shouted and dropped her dress.

"If you don't I'll buy it for you."

"Haha I'm going to buy it, don't waste your money."

*Tori's dress*

I took off the dress and put my regular clothes back on. Then I went to pay and after that we headed back towards my house.

"Do you want to get something to eat? Like from McDonald's or something?" Lia asked. "Sure I'll have McDonald's." I replied "Well I know you'll want a burger and nuggets so let's just get two Big Macs, a 20 piece nugget, a large fry and two cokes. We can share." Lia suggested. "Sounds good to me."

We pulled up to the drive through and Lia ordered. After we got our food she drove to an empty parking lot, put her back seats down and opened her trunk door so we could have somewhere nicer to sit. We both ate while listening to the radio and making small talk.

"What do you want to do in the future?" Lia asked out of nowhere.

"Well, I want to be a teacher. So I'll have to go to college. And I want to get married at some point."

"To who?"

"Namjoon, of course. I couldn't image myself marrying anyone else. And then after we both have jobs and a house I want to have kids. I just want a simple life really, nothing fancy. What about you?"

"I either want to be an independent business woman living in New York or I want to get married right after high school and have a bunch of kids."

"Wow those are two very different lifestyles."

"Yeah well it all depends on one person."

"Who?"

"Jin."

"You really like him?"

"Tori, I am in love with him. I just don't know if he feels the same."

"He did ask you to the dance."

"Yeah but that doesn't mean anything."

"Of course it does, it's a sign of affection. If he didn't like you, he wouldn't have asked you to the dance. It's the same for Joon. He really loves me so he asked me to the dance."

"I know for a fact Jin doesn't love me."

"Well it could turn into that. You never know Lia, don't shoot down your chances."

After our conversation we packed up our things and headed back to my house. As we arrived I saw Namjoon sitting on his door step. I said goodbye to Lia and then approached him.

"Hey, what are you doing outside?" I asked. "I was hoping we could have dinner together, at my house." Namjoon said. "Oh nooo, I just ate with Lia I'm so sorry, but maybe tomorrow." I said holding his hands. "I promise I'll make it up to you tomorrow." I said giving him a peck on the cheek. "Will you at least come inside?" He asked. "I have a lot of homework to do, I'm sorry." I replied. "Alright, well I guess I'll see you tomorrow. I love you." He gave me a quick kiss on the lips and then walked inside his house.
