I slowly walked down the stairs, different from when I was younger. I noticed that as I got older, I also got slower. I didn't talk as much. I rarely smiled. I stopped laughing.

My parents were waiting patiently for me at the table. Their faces looked concerned. I never came to their house without Namjoon.

I never went anywhere without Namjoon.

Things were changing.

"Honey, please come sit down. We saved your usual spot." My mom said to me with a hopeful tone in her voice. As I sat down I looked at the empty spot where Namjoon always sat. I felt myself sink down in my chair.

I never wanted this for myself.

"Are you alright dear?" My father asked. "I'm fine." I replied. "Just tired that's all." I gave a weak smile and started to eat the meatloaf my mom had made. I used to not like meatloaf. Namjoon would come to my house for dinner and my mom would always make meatloaf for him because it was his favorite.

That hurt even more.

I finished what I could of my food and helped my mom clean the dishes. I washed them in silence, which was unlike me. My mom noticed.

"I know something is wrong. You have to talk to me Tori. You can't go on like this forever." My mom said to me with a worried expression on her face.

"It's, it's complicated."

"You can tell me."

"I think I'm going to get a divorce."
