Namjoon's POV

back in present

I reached for Tori but she wasn't there. I wasn't woken up by her opening the windows, as she always did. I remembered her telling me she was going to her parent's house so I slumped out of bed alone and got into the shower. While I would shower Tori would always make my coffee and then we would read together but I couldn't do that today. After I showered I put on a nice outfit that she had ironed for me. I went downstairs to the kitchen, hoping that she would have been down there to surprise me, but she wasn't.

I made my coffee and sat in my favorite chair eyeing hers while I slowly drank my hot beverage. We would always talk about what we were excited to do over the weekend or share our favorite moments from the books we were reading but I stayed silent. I envisioned her sitting in her favorite chair with her beautiful smile telling me about her students that she taught. She loved to talk about that as well, her students. She had a passion for education and teaching today's youth the importance of learning. I loved that about her.

Saturday, today was Saturday. I typically had to work on weekends as well in order to get the promotion I was going for but I took this Saturday off so we could do something together but I guess those plans would have to change.

I missed her, I missed her terribly. I couldn't recall the last time we really spoke because of my work schedule. I missed the old times we had when we loved each other to the worlds extent and when we told each other that. Now, I would wake up early in the morning and be at work before she woke up and get back home after she was asleep. I practically only spent time with her in dreams.

I knew it hurt her that I worked so much but I did it for her, I worked and worked so we wouldn't have to worry about money in the future and we could just spend time with each other. When I tried to tell her that, she didn't understand.

I was brought back from my daze when I heard my phone ring.
