Part 2 - Sleep Over

By the time we get to my front porch the rain gets even harder. It's a thunder storm now. He still got wet despite Oikawa's attempt to keep us dry. The wind blew the rain got into Oikawa. He made sure I wasn't wet at all.

I unlock the door, step inside my house and let out a sigh. 

"Hey sweetie. How was .... Toru?" Mom asks as she walks out of the kitchen. "It's freezing out come inside!" Mom panics and I panic because this is going to be much more awkward than before.

"No, no it's okay L/N-san. I can just hurry h-"

"Nonsense! You are going to catch a the worst cold you will ever have walking in this weather. Come in." She says again grabbing his arm and leading him inside. Mom still wants Oikawa and I to be together. When I told her the story of why we broke up she said we were both stupid for letting such a wonderful relationship go to waste. 

Oikawa and I take off our coats and hang them on a hook.

"I made curry. Oikawa you stay and eat dinner and dry off and maybe by then the rain will stop. Y/N go help him find his way." Mom instructs ushering Oikawa upstairs. Oikawa doesn't need me to guide him. He's been over so many times he can walk through it with his eyes closed. 

"I'll get you some clothes." I say as I slip into my room. I look out the door and see Oikawa awkwardly standing outside my bedroom door glancing at me every once in a while. I go into the bottom of my closet and take out a shirt and a pair of sorts he left behind one night that I couldn't find the heart to throw it away. I walk out of my room and hand it to him and I see his eyes soften.

"Y-you still have my clothes here?" He whispers and I nod as I look away.

"I- I didn't know I still had them." I quickly say and walk to the bathroom and he follows. "Here's a towel. Just give me your wet uniform when you are done and I can put them in the dryer." I say quickly before I leave the bathroom.

I walk into my room and change into my pyjamas. Just sweats and a hoodie. I walk out of my room and go to the kitchen where I find my Mom smirking at the carrots she's chopping.

"You still like the boy don't you?" She giggles as she chops the last carrot.

"D-do you need help?" I ask, changing the subject. 

"No the food is already done but set the table please." Mom says and I nod. "Y'know sweetie. You don't need a boyfriend to be happy. You can be happy all by yourself and be single but I can see how much Oikawa brought you so much happiness. He's a good boy even if he is a playboy. Don't let someone so amazing go out of your life."  Mom smiles softly at me as she cups my cheek with her hand. I nod softly and start putting plates down. "How come you got home dry?" She asks another question.

"Oikawa pathos jacket over the both of us but he put it over me when it began getting harder." I say as I finish setting the table.

"Excuse me. I'm done L/N-san." Oikawa says walking into the dining room. 

"Toru let me put your clothes in the dryer. You kids start eating!" Mom says as she rushes out of the room with a mischievous smile.

He looks at me and his eyes widen."Is that my hoodie?" Oikawa asks as he looks at me. I look down at my sweater and nod yes. I didn't even know I was wearing this.

"Ya. I guess I am. Do you want it back?" I ask sadly as we sit at the table.

"No! Um no. I want you to have it." Oikawa says waving his hands in the air and I nod in thanks. We place the curry and rice on our plats and start eating.
