Part 4 - Takeru

"Hey Y/N! Long time no see!" Natsuko, Oikawa's older sister exclaims as she runs up to me and gives me hug. "I missed you so much! Too bad my idiot brother couldn't keep you around." She mumbles as she whirls me around the gym. Oikawa and I are taking Takeru to his volleyball practice and Natsuko is dropping him off at the gym. We just finished practice anyway and everyone already went home.

"I missed you to Natsuko." I say as I hug her back ignoring her previous sentence.  She continues to sway me around from side to side and I laugh. Natsuko is basically Oikawa with longer hair, shorter and older.  She, if I remember is 30. From the stories their Mom  has told me Natsuko had many fan boys like Oikawa does fan girls. I swear that all of the Oikawa's are just gorgeous people. 

"Nee-chan. You are going to suffocate her before Takeru can even see her." Oikawa grumbles as he pries his sister off of me and places her on her feet.  "Is Takeru in the car?" Oikawa asks and Natsuko nods.

"He fell asleep in the car so I'm letting him take a quick nap so he's awake for practice. Anyway you guys can get him from the car." She says and we leave after Oikawa and I lock the gym doors.

"I packed him some apples, crackers and a change of clothes so you don't need to worry." She says as she unlocks the car door and opens it. "Takeru? Darling? Wake up Toru-nee is here to pick you up." She says softly as she kisses the 7 year old's forehead and unbuckles him from his carseat. I can't help but smile at the sight of a mother caring so deeply about her child.

"I'm sleepy Mommy." Takeru yawns with his eyes still closed and I hear Natsuko giggle and peck his cheek. He still slumped in his car seat with his eyes closed.

"Well don't be because  N/N-nee is here today to!" Natsuko says and the boy lifts his head excitedly. Takeru swerves around and hops out of the car.

"N/N-nee!" He exclaims excitedly and I go on my knees and give him huge hug. I missed this kid.

"Hey Takeru!" I say happily as I face the boy and pinch his cheeks.

"You behave for those two okay? Mommy will pick you up at N/N-nee's house tonight." Natsuko says as she kisses her son on the cheek before she drives off in her car. I get off of my knees and pick Takeru up and balance him on my hip.

"Nice to see you to Takeru." Oikawa pouts as he takes my school bag and Takeru's small bag  so I can carry Takeru comfortably without the extra weight and I smile at Oikawa as a way of thanking him

"Hey Toru-nee. Anyway. N/N-nee why haven't I seen you in a while?" Takeru pouts and I smile nervously. I don't know Takeru. Maybe because I broke up with your Uncle. Why? Because I was distracting him from his passions and he was jealous of Tobio and we barely spent time together and when we did,  we argued all the time when we finally spent time together..... But you wouldn't know because no one told you. You don't even know we are broken up!

"I have just been busy studying is all." I laugh nervously as I glance at Oikawa. He smiles at me apologetically then looks forward with a bitter sweet look on his face. I look at Takeru and smile sadly.  This whole thing is bittersweet. Exes who both know they both have feelings for each other but want to stay friends trying to go back to normal.

"Well I missed you N/N-nee." Takeru says and I kiss his cheek.

"I missed you , Takeru."

"Hello Coach Ukai!" I greet the older man as I let Takeru down onto his feet.

"Y/N! Hello dear I haven't seen you in a while. Oikawa it's good to see you again as always." He greets as he pats us both on the shoulders. 

"Thank you sir." We both say and the older man smirks.

"No need to be so formal. I'm a senior not dying! I'll leave you 3 to it!" He says as he walks off to tend to some kids I haven't seen here before.

"Okay Takeru let's go to the bathroom so you can get dressed." Oikawa says as he walks Takeru to the bathroom.

"Y/N-chan! We missed you!" Some kids I used to help Oikawa teach rush up to me and give me a hug.

"Hey guys I missed you!" I say as I ruffle up each of their heads.

Oikawa and Takeru walk out and the kids begin practising and Oikawa and I help Coach Ukai teach the little kids.

"Are you hungry Takeru? You finished this crackers and apples really quickly." Oikawa asks. We just left practise and Oikawa is carrying Takeru on his shoulders. "We can get ramen on the way to Y/N's if she's okay with it." Oikawa says and the two boy look at me.

"We can get ramen." I say and both of the boys smile excitedly. We continue walking. Takeru will point something out every once in a while before we get to the ramen shop. It's a small business owned by this sweet old women every one calls Ma. Oikawa would bring us here on dates and we would share a medium bowl  but today I'm going to assume we will all be getting our own smaller portions. We walk inside and it's pretty empty. Only a middle aged coupled sits on the bar stools.

"It's you three! Oh how I missed you kids!" Ma says happily from behind the counter.

"Hi Ma!" We all greet before we take a seat in a small table for 4 and put our bags and sweaters on the spare chair.

I take out my wallet and I hear Oikawa take his out of his pocket.

"Oikawa let me pay." I say but he already walks off to the cash register. It's a small restaurant so we can hear what Oikawa is ordering. I look at him and I feel myself smile sadly. Even if he seems stuck up he's always a gentleman. Even to his fangirls. He never raises his voice or lets anyone pay for food. Well sometimes he lets Iwa, Makki or Matsun pay but that's when he's short on money.

"Hello Ma. Can I have one medium original ramen and three spare bowls please?" Oikawa asks. I was half right we wouldn't be sharing out of the same bowl but we would be sharing. I listen to the interaction as I brush through Takeru's hair.

"Sure you can! 655 yen please. I'll call you up when it's done." Ma says and Oikawa hands her the money before coming back to sit down. When he sits down I watch him put his wallet back in his pant pocket and I smile sadly. We make eye contact but I look away.

"So Takeru how is school?"

"Did you enjoy dinner Takeru?" I ask and he nods sleepily and Oikawa and I laugh. Oikawa picks him up and carries him on his back and Takeru drifts off to sleep. We continue walking home from the ramen shop.

"Takeru sure had a long evening. It's already 8pm." I smile softly as I watch the two boys beside of me. Oikawa looks at me and smiles.

"Ya he sure did." Oikawa says quietly as he turns away from me. He has a soft smile on his face.

This day was so weird. I bet if I tried I could pretend like we are still together. We can't be together right now. The timing is always off for us. I would be selfish if I told him to get back together with me.
