"Now it's time for the weather forecast," the news reporter said, as the screen flashed the weather forecast of the week. "There are 90.92% of precipitation chances today, to-"
Jennie closed the YouTube Live of the weather forecast, looking outside. The sky was cloudy and she was so sure that the forecast would come true. Should she cancel plans with Taehyung?
Last night he messaged her that he wants to meet. Jennie knew what he would talk about, most probably the kiss they had? Her cheeks turned all red whenever she thought about it, and her darling best friend Chaeyoung is spamming her about it. She looked at the time, 5 pm, just thirty more minutes before she meets him.

Fidgeting his fingers, Taehyung patiently waited for her to show up. Today was that day when he would get the answer to the question that is troubling him day and night. Last night, he couldn't sleep, planning the answer to every possibility.
What if she is J? What if she is not? What if she is J but doesn't want to date him? What if she isn't J but wants to date him? When Taehyung asked these questions to Jungkook, he ran out of the house, annoyed and Taehyung too knew he was overthinking but he couldn't help it, could he?
Standing on the Cheonggyecheon Bridge, he looked at his watch. 5:20, and no sign of her. The sky was slowly clouding with black clouds, the Cheonggyecheon bridge today was a bit empty. Only a few people to be seen.
"Taehyung,"
He turned to his side as he saw her walked up to him. It was funny how just two days back they were talking so cheerfully, and today everything seemed awkward.
"Hey," he said, forgetting every single thing he rehearsed. His mind was now blank, not knowing what is happening and what will happen. "Hey," she said, not knowing how he is on a verge of freaking out.
Mentally slapping himself when he asked her, "How are you doing?"
She was a bit weird out if being honest. He was speaking so formally as if they haven't been hanging out regularly this whole month. "I am doing good," she said slowly, pressing her lips into a thin line staring ahead.
Then they felt tiny drops of water, it was going to rain. But before Jennie could say something about it, he blurted out, "Are you J?"
She felt a lump on her heart, her mouth shut tight, her skin getting pale. When he realized, she isn't saying anything, he repeated those words again, "Are you J? The Anonymous Wattpad writer,"
Jennie averted her gaze, looking at her toes, she wanted to look anywhere but him. But then, it hit her, she looked at him, her voice cracking but, she managed to ask, "Are you winter bear?"
He was prepared for this probably because it took him only one minute to process it, before he answered, "Yes,"
Her eyes lit up at that one word. Isn't it ironic how "Yes" and "No" are such small words, but they keep the capability to change everything? From the biggest decisions to the biggest reveals. His eyes were staring into hers, hoping to find an answer. It was her, his soul told him, but he wanted to hear it from her own mouth.
She gulped, before nodding her head, "Yeah, I am J,"
Her secret was out, the rain was slowly getting stronger, her hair was slowly getting wet, but she didn't care. She looked at him, not knowing what to do, but then he pulled her by waist slowly
And he kissed her. Jennie's lips parted. This was real, yet not simple at all. He smelled of woodsmoke and sugar. Sweet beneath the burn. Her heartbeat skidded, and it was she who leaned greedily into the kiss. Then his breath went ragged and the kiss grew deeper. He kept a hand on her cheek, and as they kissed it seemed that words were hiding in the air around them, that they were invisible creatures that feathered against them.
The rain was falling heavily, and no one knows when it will stop. The two stood on the bridge under the rain, kissing each other, not caring about the world as if time had stopped for them. They finally pulled away, as he whispered against her lips, "I love you, Jennie,"
Her eyes were still closed, she was still panting for breath but those 3 words along with her name, made her feel like the universe had suddenly lost its whole meaning. She has heard those three magical words before too, but the actual magic felt now. As if God is blessing her right now, with whatever possible. She still can't believe it. He really said that he loves her.
Waiting around for something to never happen only promotes the stagnation of life, progression—it halts the future and what it has in store. Love isn't simply choosing to spend your life with someone. It is waking up every day and making the daily choice to spend the rest of your life with them. Love isn't passive, it's an action—a daily choice. It's perpetual.
And then Jennie realized, she has to answer him back. Does she love him?
She probably did. It has been 2 months since she is talking to him, 1 month since hanging out and she knows they had a connection. He understood her better than anyone, he related to her problems, he made her feel special. No one else made her feel that way.
And then Jennie remembered, it rains when you and your soulmate accept your love. It hit her, Taehyung is her soulmate.
"I love you too," she whispered back
