Au Explained

In this au (alternative universe) Lance is an altean and he was born on Altea. This was before Allura was born. In this au alteans live for around six hundred thousand years. And when Allura was born Lance was only about  eighty years old. Their aging works a lot different than ours does, he looked like he was only about sixteen. He was born into the royal family. When he was six he was assigned Keith as a gaurd. Keith is only one year older than Lance, and he was born on Arus (I dont know what the actual name of the planet that the galrans are from). Keith is part Galran and part human his mom had went to earth and fell in love with his dad. She had brought him back to Arus because she had found out that she had gotten pregnant with his kid. Keiths dad was aware that his wife and child would out live him by many years but he didn't care because he loved tham and wanted them to be happy even if he wasn't there to see it.  Keiths dad died in a fire when he was eleven. Keiths parents had taken him to earth for a trip and Lance had come with because Lance hadn't wanted to have another gaurd assigned to him because Keith was the only gaurd that was around his age and that he felt comfortable around. Keiths dad had been driving by a house and he saw that it was on fire. He had been a retired firefighter before he moved across the universe. He had ran into the building and saved a little girl but when he went back in to save the little boy that had gotten stuck he hadn't come back our. When he moved the beam the boy was stuck under the boy had ran out but he couldn't move and rubble from the ceiling came crashing down on him. When the firefighters realised that somebody was still in the house it was already to late to save him. Keith hadn't taken the news well when he had been told. Lance had helped him control his anger until they got back on the ship. They had kept the land that belonged to Keiths dad even though they didn't plan on coming back anytime soon. When Alluras mom was a couple months pregnant with allura, Lance and his family had to leave Altea because it wasn't safe for them. So they left and fled to Earth. When they had the meeting to tell their gaurds that they were leaving Altea, Keith said he was going to come with them because Lance has never been good with being away from Keith for long periods of time, and Keith was one of the only people who really now how things work on Earth. The royal family and Keith had gotten into a ship and started off to Earth. This all happen when Lance and Kaith were about three thousand years old. They had to leave without telling anybody else other than the people who already knew about them leaving. The gaurds who were left behind and knew that they were leaving faked the family's death, so everybody thought that they were dead even Lance and keith daughter. So she stayed with her grandfather (Zarcon).
