Taking Back The Throne

When They Met

Keith had just convinced his grandfather to let him be a royal gaurd. So he was training for the test that all of the gaurds and gaurds in training have to take if they want to be royal gaurds. When he took the test he got the highest score over everyone who participated despite being only seven years old. Which made him the head gaurd for the royal family, most of the other gaurds were unsure about a seven year old being the head gaurd but they also know that he was tested just as hard if not harder than them and he still got the top score so they went with it. There was one gaurd who despised the fact the Keith was the head gaurd and he wasn't. He listened to Keith even though he didn't want to because he knows that could lose him his job, but the gaurds that lose their job while they are gaurding the royal family is always looked at lower than any other gaurd that loses their job while they are not assigned to gaurd the royal family. A couple months later Keith decided that it would be better if each member of the royal family had a personal gaurd. So he talked to the queen about it and she agreed that it would be helpfull for keeping track of her older kids because they tend to disappear for hours at a time and never tell her or her husband where they had went. So later that day the queen had gathered her whole family while Keith gathered all of the gaurds. He gathered all of them because him and the queen thought that it would be bast for her faily to choose who their gaurd was so they wouldn't be uncomfortable around them. All of the queens kids decided that it would be best if Lance went first so that he would be the most comfortable around his gaurd.

"Am I aloud to choose any of the gaurds or does it have to be from the five in the line?"Lance asked.

"You can choose any of us to be your gaurd, prince Lance."

"Then can he be my gaurd?" Lance asked while pointing at Keith.

"I would be honored to be your gaurd," Keith said while walking over and bowing to Lance.
