"Come on just this once?" Isaac asked. "No, it's not happening. I hate parties." I said. "Please I just want to go to this one party that's all I'm asking." Isaac began to beg. "I'm sorry but I am not going to a party, I refuse. You can go though." I tried to compromise. "Oh please you know I'm not going anywhere without you." Isaac said sounding fine with it.
I have always hated parties, not that I've ever been to one. In every book I have ever read something bad happens at parties. I know it's just fiction but it's Highschool so you never know what might happen. That is why I have sworn to myself that I won't ever go to a party unless someone I love is dying and they just happen to be at a party. Honestly probably not even then, I would call an ambulance then wait outside. That's not a very likely scenario anyways since the only people in my life that I love are Isaac, Bella, and my parents (not as much my dad).
"Fine imma head out, my parents want me to watch B till they get home." Isaac informed me while grabbing his phone and wallet off my nightstand. "K, love you." I said sincerely. "Love you too." he shouted, already in the hall. I've known Isaac since the 3rd grade. We became friends when this girl in our class started crying because some kid stole her juice box and we had a whole conversation about how there are more important things to cry over than a juice box. After that, we talked all the time and became best friends.

I can't sleep. Shocker I know right. My dad refuses to go refill my pills so now I have been barely sleeping for the past week. It is 1:00 am and I feel like I've has 5 energy drinks, 3 coffees, and a whole bottle of energy pills. I'm going to go crazy if I have to lay in bed staring at the ceiling for one more minute. With that, I hopped out of bed and threw on some black ripped skinny jeans and one of Isaac's grey shirts that he left here which is a little too big for me.
I quietly walked downstairs making sure to avoid all the creaks in the steps and grabbed a pocket knife (you can never be too careful). As I was about 15 minutes into my walk I started to hear loud music. That was most likely Yazzy's party that Isaac was trying to beg me to go to earlier. About five minutes later I saw a figure clearly drunk walking towards me. I held onto my knife just in case they tried something. When I got a bit closer to them I realized that it was Jaylen.
He started leaning towards the road and I quickly grabbed his arm. "Whoa be careful." I exclaimed. "Kaylas! What are you doing here?" Jaylen yelled excitedly. Yeah, he was definitely drunk. "Where's your house so I can help you get home?" I asked Jaylen ignoring his question. "Um, that way." He said while pointing to the left. "Or is it that way?" He asked me while pointing to the right. "How about you stay at my house until you're sober enough to tell me where your house is. Plus it's going to start snowing soon and I really don't want to be out here when it does." I compromised.
"Ooh like a sleepover?" he questioned sounding hopeful. "Yeah, something like that." I replied to hopefully end this conversation. Jaylen is way too chipper for this early in the morning/late at night. I cannot deal with a sober Jaylen right now much less a drunk Jaylen who was refusing to cooperate. He won't stop jumping around and he keeps singing very loudly. He's not a bad singer at all but he's singing right in my ear and I already have a headache. "Can you please just try to walk straight?" I barked at him. He then proceeded to pout like a sad puppy and I almost felt bad.
"We're here." I said dryly. "Ooooh pretty flowers," he said while leaving my side and going to the small garden on my front porch. "you want to know what's even prettier?" I asked as if I was talking to a child. "What?" He queried, once again with puppy eyes. "Inside the house." I lied. I grabbed his wrist and pulled him inside gently and told him to be very quiet. I already have to deal with one drunk person I don't feel like dealing with another one.
"Take off your shoes." I told him plainly once we got to my room. "No. You do it." he said like a child. I deadpanned then started untying his shoes and slipping them off of his feet. He then started to unbutton his jeans. "Whoa, you can keep those on." I told him. "They're too tight to sleep in." He whined. "You can have the bed and I'll sleep on the floor." I stated while motioning for him to give me his now disregarded jeans. I threw his pants in the laundry then grabbed him a pair of basketball shorts that my dad bought me a while ago but I refuse to wear them because I hate shorts. He slipped them on and went under my covers.
It was now around five in the morning and I was still wide awake. I trudged downstairs and grabbed a couple of aspirins plus a glass of water. I set them on the nightstand next to Jaylen. He looked so peaceful while he was sleeping. I was quick to lay back on the floor so that I didn't look like a creeper who watches people while they are sleeping. After a few more hours I was finally able to fall asleep. This was probably the most sleep I would get in a while.
