Jaylen and I have been officially boyfriends for four months now. He told me to get ready and that he'll be here in thirty minutes but he gave me no other information whatsoever. I took a quick shower and changed my clothes then went downstairs to watch tv with Weylin till he gets here. *Ding Dong* The doorbell sounded throughout the house and I hopped off the couch and opened the door. I opened the door and was immediately greeted by Sam who then walked past me and sat on Weylin's lap, Weylin then wrapped his arms around Sam's waist.
When I turned back around Jaylen was standing there with a basket in hand. "Hey" He greeted me then he gave me a quick peck on the lips. "Hello to you too. What's that?" I questioned, pointing towards the basket resting in his hands. "It's a picnic basket." Jaylen admitted. I was about to ask him where we were going when he so rudely interrupted me. "Just don't ask questions till we get there." He told me and I decided to comply since I didn't feel like arguing with him. He then turned around and got back in his car and I followed and sat in the passenger seat.
We got there about thirty-five minutes later. I wasn't very sure where "there" was since he put a blindfold on me, with my consent of course. He was leading me out of the car to God knows where since I couldn't see. "Okay now sit down slowly." He told me as he lead me to the ground. "Okay, now you can take off your blindfold." Jaylen told me. I slowly took it off and my jaw dropped at what I saw. We were sitting in a big, long field of flowers, and on a blanket was French food and the sun was setting. "Oh my God Jaylen." I said in astonishment. "Do you like it?" He questioned me with a nervous look in his eyes. "I love it." I said truthfully with a huge smile.
Jaylen looked like he was about to say something in response to that but he stopped himself and instead took a moment to think before thinking again. "I'm glad you like it. And I know that you aren't big on eating, like at all but I know that when you do feel like eating that you love French food so I got some of your favorites. You don't have to eat it if you're not hungry though." He rambled. "I actually am kind of hungry today." I admitted truthfully. He had his head down, looking at the food but I said that his head snapped up and he looked at me in disbelief. "Seriously?" He asked me. I only giggled and nodded my head.
I grabbed the flamiche and started eating it. I moaned at the wonderful taste. Jaylen and I ate for about half an hour. I only got through about 3/4 of my flamiche before I started to feel sick and had to stop. I sipped on my diabolo menthe while he continued to eat. We chat for a while then when he was done eating he motioned his head towards his lap and I took that as a sign that he wanted me to sit in his lap so I scooted over and sat down. He held my hands then wrapped our intertwined hands around my waist. He gave me a quick kiss on the nape of my neck but not in a sexual way it was in more of a loving way.
The sun was almost completely set but it just wasn't quite down yet so we still have a little bit of light. "Did my heart love till now? Foreswear it, sight! For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night." Jaylen said suddenly. "I don't know what you just said but it was hot when you said it." I told him. He simply laughed and kissed my cheek. "It's a quote from 'Romeo and Juliet' by William Shakespeare. I can quote the entire movie." Jaylen informed me. "Really? That's cool." I praised him. I turned my head a little so that I could see his face when I was talking to him.
He blushed but didn't look away, he continued to stare into my eyes and I stared right back. "Kaylas, I need to tell you something." He said nervously which started to make me nervous. "Oh God, your breaking up with me aren't you?" I half-joked, half-seriously questioned. "What no, never. It's good, I think." He said somewhat reassuringly. "Okay, you're worrying me, out with it." I demanded in a joking tone. He was looking at his lap but then lifted his head and looked in my eyes again as if he was staring into my soul and I suddenly felt very self-conscious but I didn't dare look away.
"Kaylas, I love you. I have loved you for a really long time. I totally understand if you think it's too soon and if you do I will take it back immediately. Even though I'll still mean it. And I really hope you love me too. But if you don't that's okay. No pressure. Just please don't hate me. And if you want to break up th-" Jaylen rambled but I cut him off with a kiss. It wasn't just a peck though. It was a short but passionate kiss which I made sure sent the message to him that it's okay and we are defenantaly not breaking up. I slowly pulled away and he looked so worried right then. I held his face in my hands and told him the word's that he has probably been waiting a long time to hear.
"I love you too, Doofus" I grinned then leaned in and kissed him more passionately than ever and he softly gripped my hips and kissed me back.
A/N It is currently 1:03 PM on 4/15/2021 and I am glad to say that this book is finally over. I am happy because now I can finally work on a different book that I have been working on for months but I am also sad because it has been a very long journey and I am sad to be done with these characters. That being said, there will not be any other books with any of these characters because I am ready to introduce new people to my account. Please comment and vote. I love to hear people's feedback. I hope you enjoyed reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Now to finish off this book I just wanted to thank everyone who has made it this far.
