Rejected me. BIG mistake

Chapter 6

By lunch time all of us are friends with Ryder and invite him to sit with us.

We get some food then sit down at a table in the middle of the room.

We make small talk until a very annoying person in a super miniskirt and a very low scooped neckline crop top. Also known as Brittany.

"Hello there new people." She says in a way that I think is supposed to be friendly but to me sounds kind of like a sneer.

"Can we help you with something?" I ask her bluntly.

"I just wanted to come and see you and your friends. I missed you a lot. We were friends. Plus I wanted to introduce myself to the other new students." She says plastering a huge fake smile on her face.

"Yea.. No I was not your friend and these ARE my friends Claudia, Connor, Elliot and Ryder." I say pointing them out.

"Hi. You know, Ryder, Elliot and Connor. If you need someone to show you around I am always available. I could show you around too Claudia if you wanted."

"Actually we are all getting showed around by the most amazing person we know." Connor says.

I look at them confused.

"I'm sorry I don't know who you mean." She says still smiling her fake smile.

"Kara of course." Connor, Elliot, Claudia and Ryder say in unison.

I blush a little and smirk at Brittany.

"Oh I'm sure she has forgotten her way around by now." She says looking at me with fake pity.

"Oh don't worry about that. I remember this place like the back of my hand. How could I not. This place used to be my own living hell. So yep I remember it pretty well." I tell her.

"Oh those were the good old days weren't they Kara." She says smirking at me.

"Just remember this Brittany. I will soon be you alpha female. If you don't show me respect then say goodbye to this pack." I say smirking back at her.

"Yea right." She says rolling her eyes.

"Are you challenging me?" I ask letting my alpha tone seep in.

"No." She says bowing her head in submission.

"Then move along. We are busy right now."

She bows again and walks away from our table.

I hear clapping and turn to see Claudia, Connor, Elliot and Ryder clapping.

I look at them confused.

"That was awesome." Connor says smiling and giving me a nudge with his shoulder.

"It really was!" Ryder says smiling at me.

"Thanks guys." I say smiling at them all.

"Well. Should we finish our food then you can give us a tour?" Claudia asks me.

"Yep." I say stealing one of Elliot's chips.

"Hey." He says pouting at me.

I poke my tounge out at him.

"Real mature Kara." He says rolling his eyes at me.

"Always am Ellie." I say winking at him.

"You keep telling youself that." He says rolling his eyes again.

I roll my eyes back at him.

"Love you too Ellie." I say, taking a bite of the chip I stole.

"Seriously Kara. A better nickname please." Elliot says, sighing and glaring slightly at me.
