(For a reminder, here on out, I will be skipping some parts throughout the series because I'm on eighteen parts and only halfway through the second episode of ten. So, this means I will only put certain parts, which are important, in this book. It is a fanfic, so keep that in mind as well. And I must say, I can't simply follow the series or else this book would be like every other. Lol.)

"Well, I'm going to get going." Kie stood up. "I don't wanna be here if they are." She nods with her head.

Pope raised a brow, noticing the few Kooks arrive to the public beach from afar. He began shaking his head, not wanting to be around when the Kooks came strolling in. He knew how they could be and especially since what happened the other night at the Boneyard. Pope was sort of the one who tended to have anxiety when it came to Kooks because he never got treated right by any of them, he wasn't tough enough to answer to them like JJ or John B were.

Standing up and dusting himself off, Pope clapped both hands together before reaching down for his hat as he kept his eyes away from the few rich friends. Kie glanced down to Lou, who was lying in the sand on her surfboard, getting yet another tan. JJ was seated in the sand whilst John B sat next to him, staring at his compass.

For the last day and a half he'd been trying to say that the compass had found him for a reason and that it was sign, though no one else believed him even though they supported him. John B really believed that his father was still out there somewhere even if it had been almost a year since the man had gone missing. Lou wasn't sure what to think, it was hard to say he was alive when there wasn't any evidence that he was.

"Yeah, me neither." Pope admitted, pulling his hat on.

Tallulah sat up on her firm board, stretching as she stared down the beach. "I wanna get another surf in before I go."

"Oh, same." JJ nods, now having a reason to stay behind, not that he was going to leave simply because Kooks had shown up.

"JB?" Kie asked, shaking out her towel.

He closed the lid of his compass and looked up to his friends, who all stared at him. John B knew well he had to stay out of trouble for a little bit and besides, he wanted to figure things out a bit more with the compass. "Yeah, I'll come. Gonna head to the Chateau."

Lou turned her head and looked at JJ. "Surf partners I guess."

"If you can keep up, sure." He shrugged with a laugh, getting up and Lou glanced around, watching her Kook friends.

They'd settled further down the beach together, placing their towels and beach chairs down. She'd seen the cooler they had and had quite a feeling of what would be inside. The fact she and JJ were staying behind didn't bother her none, but she figured there would be blood between the feuding sides. Tallulah wasn't planning on speaking with them, however a kind wave or gentle smile would suffice if need be.

"See you guys back at the Chateau." Kie smiled, flipping her towel onto her shoulder.

And so, the three best friends had grabbed their things and headed out for the rest of the afternoon. Daylight had many more hours left to drain, which meant if JJ and Lou wanted, they could surf until around eleven o'clock if they wanted to. Lou had watched her friends leave and the noise grew quiet as she shifted on her surfboard, glancing away from their forms disappearing over the hill.

With a yawn, the brunette stood up on her board and stretching, pulling the sleeve of her wet suit down before lowering and grabbing her board. JJ had watched her, unable to tear his eyes away from her ass whilst she picked her board up. She'd turned around and caught a glimpse of him, but didn't say anything about before marching for the water. "Coming?" She asked.

He nodded vigorously. "Yeah." He nods, rushing off the sand to his feet as he grabbed his board. He hadn't waited for her before he ran down the beach in a hurry with messy hair hiding his eyes as he hopped into the water, tossing his board into the water and jumping onto it, beginning his paddle out.

Walking towards the water, Lou had made it ankle deep before someone spoke her name and she stopped, turning around. "Tallulah." The strap of her surfboard was tight to her ankle and the rubber cord hit her calf when she'd stopped and looked up at the blond ahead of her. Hands to his hips, she glanced at her other friends as two came giggling down the beach together, wanting to make her gag at the sight.

The blond sported a collared polo shirt with a pair of khakis shorts and a pair of sandals in his hands. She couldn't tell if he was staring at her considering he wore sun glasses, but either way, she assumed he was. "Rafe." She spoke confidently, not a single ounce of fear in her voice. Why would she be afraid, even if he could be a complete ass hole.

He gave a slow nod. "So ugh, what're you doin'?"

"I'm good thanks." She nods, earning a scoffed laugh from Sarah, in which Lou gave a toothless grin in return. "And ugh, I'm headed out to surf." She motioned, lifting her clean board to show him.

"You know the tides are coming in soon, right?" He told her. "And with the storm, it's not a good idea for you to be out there."

"Who cares, Rafe." Sarah spoke up. "If she wants to go out there, let her." Sarah spoke.

Sarah was definitely mad at Tallulah, since what happened at the Boneyard with the entire gun situation, she was in no mood to be around the Pogues. The Kooks were afraid they'd be shot next and no one would know who done it, the three were currently afraid of the meeting they held with Lou now. She was among JJ Maybank's company, the boy who wasn't afraid to shoot a gun if need be.

"Yeah, if she wants to let her Pogues shoot at us, then let her." Topper added.

She narrowed her brows. "Why are you here?" She spoke, not needing to answer them about the beforehand affair.

"Public beach, isn't it?"

"Shut up, Topper." She told him. "Don't you have like generators to buy or something?" She looked over to Rafe, knowing he blew his money on a stupid dirt bike rather than the generators for their house.

Lou crushed hard for Rafe Cameron, but that didn't mean she couldn't be mad at him for something he did and she was mad. She was mad at Topper for what he did at the Boneyard and she was mad at Rafe for the way he was currently acting around her. "Don't you have like better friends to be with or something?" He narrowed his glare on her.

She scoffed. "At least he's got my back."

"Yeah right, next thing you know it'll be you dead with some shit he's pulled." Rafe shook his head.

Tallulah had enough. Without another word to them, she turned and walked further into the water. Her ankles warm in the water from having gotten adjusted to the temperature. Lou walked far enough out before sliding onto her board and began to paddle out for the waves. Whilst she did so, JJ had been sitting on his board waiting and watching the conversation. When he'd seen her making her way out once more, that's when he took his turn to take a wave and show off his proud skills.
