This chapter is a bit shorter than others, but it's an intro to a really long one!
Hannah's perspective..
All night I had only one thought. Nate. His eyes, his smile, his wavy hair, his voice. How can someone be this perfect?
It's very hard for me to bring someone new in my life. I promised to myself no more new people, but it's just too hard right now.
Everything it's just too complicated.
I was hurt too many times I can't just bring someone as toxic as he is to my life. It won't be right.
I have serious commitment issues, but don't we all? I've never had a boyfriend, I had just one best friend my whole life.
I sometimes miss Megan. She was my everything. Well I think it's for the best that we aren't friends anymore.
I woke up with this horrible headache. I really need to stop thinking and start sleeping from now on.
I put on the same jeans as yesterday and a big black hoodie. I really don't want to be in a center today. I just want to blend with everyone. I even took my mom's black sneakers so I was all black.
It's finally Friday so I'll have whole two days only to be with myself and run from all the drama.
When I walked into my class, almost everyone was here. Olivia, all dressed up in pink, Mark, who matched me perfectly today, Megan, who looked at me with her blue eyes... As I expected, Nate wasn't here. He is always late, I have no idea why no one has said anything to him.
The lesson started and I took out my books. Somewhere around that time, I heard how class doors opened. It was Nate.
He looked different today. He was in a big hoodie as me, but his hood was on his head and he was with sunglasses.
"I'm sorry I'm late. Again" said Nate to teacher.
"It's ok, but take off your sunglasses"
He whispered something in her ear and she gave him a little nod. Nate started walking to his desk, still with his glasses on. As he was closer and closer to me, I noticed that he had some small, almost invisible patches on his face and some scratches. I wonder if he got them after he left me.
When he looked at me, well I couldn't really see his eyes, but I could imagine, he gave me a little smirk.
When he sat down, Megan looked at him and asked "What happened to you?" Nate looked kind of frustrated that she asked that.
"It's none of your business" he said really serious.
When lesson was over I stood up and came to Nate.
"Am I allowed to ask you that?" I asked quietly.
"It's Friday, do you have any plans for today?" I understood that he didn't like to be questioned about that, so I just left this topic. If he isn't ok talking about this, I won't.
"Well, I'm willing to take a long nap today, what about you?"
"I'm picking you at 7pm. Wear something nice" he said and started walking away.
"Nate, wait" I shouted a bit "Where do you want to take me?"
"We are going to a party, H"
"What about Maya?" I asked him, because I was really confused.
"We broke up" he said that and left me in shock.
"Oh, I'm sorry"
"No, no, it's for good" he said it with a little smirk.
"Ok, but I'm still not going"
"You have to, don't make me please" he smiled and walked away.
He broke up? And I'm going to a party with him? That doesn't sound like friends. Ether way, I've never been to a party, I have no idea what people do there.
What I should even wear? A dress? Oh hell no
At lunch, I really wanted to find him. For the first time, I actually went to the school cafeteria. I saw him sitting with Mark and Olivia.
I didn't have to go there, Nate saw me. He came to me and looked with a very strange look on his face. Sunglasses really helped him to hide this emotion.
"Am I seeing this right? Is miss Hannah actually in cafeteria?" he asked me sarcastically.
"Oh stop, I'm here to talk to you"
"Yes, I'm listening?.."
"Who's party is that?"
"Mark's" he said and tilted his head a bit as he understood, what he just said.
"There is no way I'm going there"
"You're going, I already told him that" he smiled. Oh God, his smile is just perfect, I can't say no to this smile.
"And what did he say?"
"He is really happy to have you as a guest" he chuckled.
"No, but for real, what did he say?" I asked more seriously.
"He was confused, but he agreed. You can try to run from it, but you're going. Have a good lunch" with these words he walked away.
Oh man, I hate what he is doing to me. Why I just can't say no to him? I don't like this Hannah, I want the old one back.
When I tell you, I ran home after my lessons were over. I should really start searching for my outfit for today.
"Mom!" I shouted her.
"Yes, darling?" she answered.
"I need something pretty. I'm going to a party!"
"I waited for this moment so long, Hannah, wait here" she seemed very exited about this.
She brought me a lot of clothes and they all were very colorful. I even saw some pink. I really hate the new me.
I still have some time left, but I already feel a big anxiety. What if something goes wrong? I'm going to Mark's party, this isn't the best idea at all.
By the way, the thoughts about Nate's face aren't disappearing ether. I hoped he is ok, it looked really painful.
Do you think that party is a good idea?...
