The elevator slid open when Percy and Celtyx stepped outside. They crossed a sky bridge and reached a double-wide door before stopping. Percy slipped his pocketknife into his sleeves and inhaled.
"Relax, Percy. We aren't even at his office yet." Celtyx lightly knocked on the doors. "He requested you here to talk not for an execution." She kept chewing on the gum while resting her hands on her hips.
The doors opened and they entered the waiting room. A secretary behind a counter glanced at them and pressed a button. Percy noticed a slight buzz before Celtyx wrapped a hand over his neck.
He gently pushed her hand away. "I'm fine, Celty. Don't concern yourself about my wellbeing unless I'm dead."
"Um, excuse me. Mister Mallick said to come on in." The secretary responded.
She pointed to the right hallway while Celtyx headed in first with Percy behind. Red carpet lit up the dark hallway and chandeliers hung above them. Soon they stepped onto marble floors which reflected them. An oval desk with colored pens and miniature houses laid on top of it. Soon a slender figure faced them with their hands behind their back.
"Master Mallick!" Percy fell to his knees. "I apologize for taking so long, I'm so sorry for-"
"Percy, refer to me by my actual name and I told you before it's Sidus. Also, there's no need to apologize." He replied with a grin.
Percy slowly lifted his head to him and stood up before bowing. "Right, I'm just excited to be within your presence again, Sidus."
Sidus brought two chairs out and set them in front of his desk. He motioned to them before sitting down at his desk. Celtyx patted Percy on the back and seated herself on the left chair.
"It's been a long time since we met in person, Percy. I had my doubts but you came through for me." Sidus held a blue pen and pushed a miniature house to the side. "We're one step closer to obtaining our dreams."
Percy seated himself and positioned his hands between his laps. "Thank you, I worked really hard to get this far. It shouldn't take too long now before she shows up for her friend."
Celtyx continued chewing her gum as she propped a leg up and twirled a knot of hair. She eyed Sidus tapping the pen on his desk.
"Yes, I heard about this friend. The others told me that she's being held in the chambers." Sidus set the pen aside and pulled out miniature house pieces.
"Sidus, what are we going to do with her in terms of a hostage?" Celtyx asked. "She has powers so we should-"
Sidus held a hand to her and she grew quiet. "I believe she should be set free from the chambers. The group is strong enough to keep her from escaping. Is that fine with you, Percy?"
Percy gazed into his eyes and nodded. "Whatever you think is best for her, then I don't mind. I'm sure Kat will be ecstatic about it."
Footsteps struck the floor while a man in a suit entered the room. He held a box with a cup sitting on it. His eyes lit up before he placed the cup beside Sidus.
"Well, if it isn't Percy. Back after all this time to greet Sidus and you're with Celtyx too." The man said with a smirk.
Celtyx held a fist to him and chuckled. "Sin, you're looking formal as usual. It's great to see Sidus in such a great mood along with yourself!"
Sidus drank from the cup and blew the steam away with ease. His eyes stared down at his reflection.
"I appreciate the drink, Sin. Set that box on my shelf and I'll get to it after they leave." Sidus said while spinning to the windows. "One more thing, Percy. Your reward for being such a loyal member to me after all these years." He snapped his fingers.
