"Hello?" Kira answered her phone.
"Kira! Have you seen my brother by any chance? He's been gone for quite some time and I need to know." Kat quickly spoke.
Kira let out a groan. "Kat, I'm in a basement guarding people. I haven't seen Troy since I left for this place."
"Aww, well it didn't hurt to ask anyway! See ya later, Kira!" Kat hung up.
Kira glanced at her phone while her hair grabbed it and slid it down her pockets. She soon eyed the glass panel where Ignis and Tex stayed. Her hair pulled out bags of chips and soda cans. Kira stepped through the room and held a hand to them.
"Hey, I got your next meal for today." She set them on the table.
Ignis shrugged at her and kept squatting beside the table. Tex held a hand to her cheek and whistled a tune. Kira rolled her eyes and left the room.
"Lookie what we got, some actual food." Tex laughed. "You gonna sit down and eat?"
"Might as well, my legs are burning way too much." Ignis flopped down with his chains tightening. "Sheesh, do they really need us in chains? They already got our powers drained."
Tex ripped the bag open and cracked open a soda. "I don't even have powers and I asked about my materials." She chugged down the soda. "She still hasn't answered me."
Ignis soon opened his food and leaned back in his seat. "We need to see about escaping this place." His eyes darted back to the glass panel. "I can still feel my energy and maybe bring out a small flame portal."
"If that's the case, then what should we do? It may be too small for us to fit." Tex munched on a few chips.
"You're right so we need to send a message instead." Ignis tapped his fingers on the table. "The question is what to write the message on." He eyed a napkin in Tex's shirt.
Tex stared back at him and narrowed her eyes. "What are you staying at?"
Ignis pointed to the napkin. "That should do for a note but now we need something to write with."
She retrieved the napkin and set it on the table. Her eyes locked onto the opening from the other side before leaning forward.
"I'll cause a distraction while you write with something." Tex whispered. "Hey, lady! I need to use the bathroom!" She banged on the table until Kira stepped into the room.
Ignis hid the napkin while Tex stood up and followed her outside of the room. His tail slipped out when he laid the napkin on the table. He bit his hand until it bled. Soon he dipped the tip of his tail into the blood and winced.
This may be the only way I can write a message out here. I need to manifest enough energy now to open a flame portal.
Ignis wrote a message out on the napkin and slipped his tail back. He bit his lip and closed his eyes. Soon a muster of energy swelled from his body and a spark flew out. A small flame portal emerged on the table before he tossed the napkin in. It quickly closed as sweat covered his face.
"Okay, I'll see about getting your cowboy hat and boots when I ask them." Kira pushed Tex back into the room and left again.
Tex stepped toward the table and slid down into the chair. "So any luck with the note?"
"Yeah, I managed to write something out but my energy is all gone." Ignis bowed his head. "The only problem is, that note will be heading to a random location from the city."
"Hey, it's better than nothing. I'm sure one of them out there will find it." Tex grabbed her drink and drank it again.
Ignis stared down at the dried blood on his hand. "We can only hope our luck strikes big and Lucy finds it."
