Remember it takes time to become comfortable with someone. You can get away with it if you have a specific writing styles where you can really get the reader seeing the chemistry between the characters but damn if it's like:

Emma touches her two forefingers together childishly, "Owo Gorgy I'm so shy."
George looks to the small girl he's never seen before in his entire life, until this very moment, and smiles, "Instead of asking who you are, where you came from of how you know my name I'll ask you this... will you be my gorlfriend."
"Omg bitch yes - but I'm shy so hehe no." Emma giggles and skips away into the sunset.
George watches in awe, he hates to see her leave but loves to watch her walk away, "She will be mine, oh yes. She will be mine."

(That was a Wayne's World reference btw, if you didn't get it, how dare you."

Yeah back to my point, if a kid comes up to you and it's like 'wassup', it's going to take a while to actually become friends with them and accept them as a close friend, it doesn't happen overnight -HOWEVER if it were to happen overnight give the reader all the details, all the speech and actions to get the reader connected to your character as well as the person the fan fiction is about.

and use paragraphs.
