The sun dragged itself along the sharp edge of the horizon and continued to crawl until it could brush its sun rays along the tree trunks. But with the rise of the sun, the morning was accompanied hand-in-hand with a new disaster that shattered the serenity hovering above the prison like an early morning dew.

Taehyung couldn't believe his eyes as he stared down at the charcoaled skin of two dead bodies laying on the concrete ground in a more secluded area of the prison. The clothes of the bodies had been chewed away by the famished fire, only leaving behind a single cream-coloured bra on which, he presumed, was the female of the pair.

Both bodies were laying on their back, facing the blue sky above them. Their hair had been burned off until only the charred skull remained, and the features that once made them stand out among the crowd were nothing but a crumbled piece of dust sprinkled across the memories of the people who loved them.

The sight was absolutely horrendous and gruesome, it made Taehyung eye the bodies with a grimace and even wince as he caught the glimpse of the charcoal skin cracking open to reveal some parts of pink muscle underneath. But even if the sight was repulsive, the smell was the worst part.

That horrible acrid odor that radiated off of the bodies with a hint of sulphurous, crawled through Taehyung's parted lips and dragged itself down to his lungs. The sharp nails of the odor left behind claw marks that made Taehyung raise his hand and cough into his fist.

It was Tyreese who found them and recognised their identities, Karen and David, even though Taehyung didn't know them personally no one deserved to be killed and burned until all that was left of them was a mere memory that lingered in the shadows of everyone's mind.

Tyreese had called Rick and the rest of the group immediately after finding the two bodies and since Taehyung and Jungkook were lounging in the younger's cell after spending the night talking about what Taehyung had missed during his time away, Tae decided to come along to survey the scene. But after everyone stumbled upon it, the group was thrust into a pool of silent tension that could have only been sliced apart by the leader himself.

"You found them like this?" Rick managed to push out, flicking his eyes away from the still crackling, smoking bodies to peer at Tyreese's back.

Tyreese gulped and curled his fists, his eyes lingered on the dead bodies for a moment longer before he turned away to face Rick instead, "I came to see Karen...and I saw the blood on the floor, then I...I smelled them." Tyreese's voice was barely above a whisper of breath, his shoulders were slumped and eyes dazed in what Taehyung assumed was a mixture of shock and grief.

The man didn't look like he was taking this situation well, but who would be if they came across the dead body of their lover? Taehyung could only imagine what kind of pain Tyreese was currently in from not being able to spend his last moments with Karen or even say goodbye, what's even worse is that he had to see her this way. This image of her would flash in his mind every time he remember Karen - almost as if the flames that ate up her body, ate up the memory of her too.
