Jungkook never thought that he'd find a home behind a four metre tall fence and concrete walls, but with the help of the Woodburians, the growing group turned the place into a sanctuary for all. That's until the group was tested by a deadly virus an...

A piece of rotten flesh was stuck to the wheel of a white jeep. Blood dripped and caressed the surface of the wheel as it rolled across the grey pavement, leaving behind a path of scarlet red. The rolling of the wheels began to slow down until finally screeching to a halt in front of a rundown store.
The door of the white jeep was pushed open and a foot slipped through, followed by the sole of a black boot smashing into the ground. Taehyung's tan fingers lifted to readjust his sweater, only to travel upward and grab the small bun sitting on top of his head. He tightened the black hair tie and dropped his hands to his sides as he shut the door behind himself and eyed the store in front of him.
A tall fence wrapped around the store like a protective bubble, hiding the military camps within. A hole was torn in the side of the fence with loose pieces of flesh hanging off of the jagged wires and blood dripping onto the pavement. The red liquid had dried and crusted, leaving the once bright red color a deep shade of brown.
Taehyung's shoes smacked against the ground as he approached the tear in the fence and observed the military tents through it. The rest of the group left their cars and approached the store too - keeping their steps hesitant and barely audible.
Daryl brushed past Taehyung and gestured towards the fence, "Army came and set these fences up, made it a place for people to go to. There were a bunch of walkers behind the chain link, keeping people out like a bunch of guard dogs." Daryl mumbled, hooking his fingers through the fence and peering through it in case a few walkers had been left behind.
Sharp brows pushed together, creating a crease on Taehyung's forehead. His ebony-coloured eyes dragged along the rotten pieces of skin hanging off of the sharp edges of the wired fence before bouncing over to the store looming behind the military camps. The lingering scent of rotten corpses slipped along Taehyung's nostrils as he inhaled a deep breath, prompting him to rub his finger underneath his nose and turn away.
"So they all just left?"
Taehyung glanced in the direction of the voice from over his shoulder. The man who spoke, Bob, had introduced himself to Taehyung in the car on their way here. Just by the toothy grin on his face and the lingering traces of genuine kindness in Bob's eyes, Taehyung allowed himself to smile back and shake Bob's extended hand. As the trip here progressed, Taehyung quickly realised that Bob was an easygoing, optimistic guy, who had always something hopeful to say to lift everyone's mood. So even if Taehyung was feeling like he was dipped into a bowl of sourness after greeting Jungkook, he managed to crack a little smile in Bob's presence.
Glenn snorted with a shake of his head. He smiled at Bob and gestured towards his ears, "Give it a listen."
And Taehyung did just that. He tilted his head to the side and lowered his eyes to the ground as he tuned out the people shuffling around him and listened to the distant traces of music blaring somewhere a kilometre away. With a quirk of his lips, Taehyung lifted his head back up and nodded in approval, "You lured them out. Smart." Taehyung's deep voice cut through the air easily, immediately demanding everyone's attention.
