There's no point in struggling.
I wouldn't even know where to go.
They'd just catch me again anyway.
Alysa thought as the guards dragged her down the dark corridor.
But I'm not giving up.
She raised her head, glaring forward as the dark advanced, the silence broken only by the footsteps echoing in the hall.
"Here we are." Mr. Daegon said, opening a door to a dimly lit room.
The guards shoved Alysa in as Mr. Daegon followed close behind, the guards strapped her to a chair and shut the door after him.
"Now, now, now..." Mr. Daegon said, turning to look at Alysa.
"Since I know my son won't be able to get the truth out of you, I decided we should take things to a more private location."
He walked over to a table with miscellaneous tools, picking up a few and examining them, before placing them back down and turning around with his arms folded behind his back.
"But I'm sure we'd both like to avoid those unpleasantries, if possible." He said, chuckling softly. Looking at Alysa sitting still gazing up at him.
Still stubborn I see. The mayor thought.
"I think some time alone in quietude will serve you well Ms. Moonchild. I suggest you reflect on all that has occurred." Mr. Daegon sneered as he turned on his heel leaving the room.
As the metal door closed with a loud bang Alysa jolted in her restraints relaxing with a soft sigh letting her eyes grow used to the dark.
She couldn't help but let her mind drift to everything that's happened.
The attack on her coven, and all those that perished in the assault.
Earl's death, sacrificing himself to save them.
Jared, locked in another cell somewhere in this dungeon.
And herself strapped to a chair like a wild animal.
Isn't that what you are though? A small voice taunted in the back of her mind.
When you thought Ben had killed Jared did you not go berserk with rage?
