Welcome back

Winter break finally was here. It was finally Friday and I just finish a long whole week of school.Luckly I am a senior this year and don't need to go for another week.Which means no school for three weeks and I go back to Tennessee with my mother,Ben and Jake. But, there is just one bad thing. Hayes' family is coming with us. I regret my mother being bestfriends with Hayes' mother.30 minutes after I came back from school we left to the airport. As we got on the plane there where only two seats left. And there was only two people who needed one.But, who were those two people? Hayes and I of course. Hayes sat down next to the woman asleep and I sat next to him. It was a five hour flight.Most of the time I was listing to music so I wouldn't have a weird conversation with Hayes.I knew after this I would have to talk to him. Staying together for a whole three weeks and not being able to talk to him is way to hard. I mean it was time for me to grow up. If he liked me than great and if he didn't I would just have to grow the fuck up. I mean life is not fair. If you want it to or not. All these type of stuff went going through my mind during the flight. After a long flight we finally got to Tennesse.We got to our log house in the woods which was not that far from the farm my father owned. Maybe a mile or two away.Everyone was inside packing and checking out our log house.I went out and took a deep breath.The air of Tennessee was just better than the one in L.A. I missed this peaceful place. I stood there a while just looking at the nature. It was all peaceful and quiet I loved it. I heared someone walk up to me. I turn around and smiled when I found out who it was. He stood next to me. "Miss this place?" Hayes said looking at the woods. "Yeah...A lot actually." I said looking down. Hayes nodded his head. "I mean I don't know if you see it like I do. But, this place right here brings so many memories." I smiled from of all the flashbacks I got as a chiled. "I know how you feel." I nodded my head remembering about something. "I need to show you something." I said walking toward the woods. I looked back at Hayes and smiled. "If I remember." "No Im not going if you don't know where to go Stephanie." Hayes said. I rolled my eyes."Come on you city boy!Get your country boy out.I know its here somewhere." I said as I grabbed his hand and lead him to where I was planning to show him. We finally got to it. "Here it is... It's still up." I was in shock. I looked at the tree house my dad paid people to build it professionally for me for two reasons. One because it would last longer and two because he didn't have the time to make it for me. I remember that day like it was yesterday. My father was drinking beer and I asked him to make a tree house with me and he said no because he didn't want to bond with me but he paid to built it professionally. "It's huge! You made this with your dad?" Hayes asked impress looking at it. I shook my head. "My dad was different back then...I wonder if it still will be safe to work." I said looking at the stairs. Hayes eyes widen. "Don't get any ideas Stephanie" "Come on Hayes don't be such a chicken!" I said starting to get on the first step. "Stay down there so, if I fall you can catch me." I said climbing up. "Stephanie get down from there!" Hayes yelled from below. I finally got up and all my old toys was still in the same place I left them. I looked at the floor and saw the rug that said "Welcome back" I smiled. "Oh my..." I said. "Is everything okay up there?" Hayes said climbing up. I turn around and look at Hayes as he entered. "So many toys.Spoiled or not?" Hayes said picking up a picture from when my parents where getting married. I sat down next to the window of the tree house where you can see my dads farm. "Yeah... but, that's not I wanted..." "Stephanie you got everything what else do you want?" Hayes said sitting in front of me. "The same thing every girl who has an alcoholic dad wants." I said getting up. "And that's?" Hayes said getting up. "Love Hayes. Love. My dad would get me anything I want. Expect love. He never gave me what I needed the most... Hayes all he had time was the drinks he drank..." I said upset. I always got deep with Hayes and I don't know how but, it's so easy for me telling Hayes deep stuff. I don't even know why. Hayes hugged me. "Its ok..." Hayes said. I hugged Hayes back and saw the horses from my dads farm. "Im surprise his farm is still alive." I said as I broke the hug and looked out the window. I felt safe in his arms and didn't want to break the hug but, I'm trying my best not to fall for him again. It obvious that he's not over Jordan and Im not going to do anything about it. I shook my head. "Sorry for telling you all this you probably don't care." I said. "No Stephanie don't say that I actually care a lot. I'm here for you." Hayes smiled at me and I smiled back at him we looked at each other for a while. We slowly started to lean in for a kiss. Our lips were about to touch till I back away. "I think we should go back to the log house before its late..." I said looking down and leaving the tree house. We both walked back to my Log house all awkwardly quit. I should have let him kissed me.But, I couldn't knowing he still likes Jordan. We got to the log house and everyone was getting food ready for tonight. Ben started making the fire on the grill and the fire place. "Hey someone is inside waiting for you." Ben said talking to me. Hayes and I walked inside. It was Shawn. "Shawn." I said as I walked up to him and hugged him. "Stephanie you finally came back to TN." Shawn said smiling. "I had to come back to see my friends." I said excited. As I looked behind Shawn, Hayes was behind him and looked disturbed about something. He cleared his throat and walked away. I quietly sighed. Did I just do something wrong. I smiled back at Shawn so I could cover up the fact I felt bad for Hayes. "Shawn how's your dad?" "He's doing better. How long are you here for?" "For three weeks what about you?" "Stephanie that's why I came here today because I'm leaving tomorrow Im going to NYC for some family reunion." "But your coming back right?" "Yeah the week of New Years." "Thats great Shawn you and all our high school friends need to hang when you come back." "I agree. Well I need to head home to start packing." Shawn said hugging me. "Try to come back in the night." I said walking him toward his car. "I'll text you if I'm coming back." Shawn said getting in his car. "Ok bye Shawn have a safe drive." "I will bye." Shawn said and left the log house. I walked back inside to the kitchen where Hayes and everyone else was. I looked at Hayes and he still seem upset. I sighed and went to my room. It's break and I don't have time to be in bad vibes.
