Surprise!!!
I updated quickly this time AND it's a Saturday!
Then again, maybe it's because I've had most of this chapter written for a while. Tee hee.
I hope you enjoy this one, my rosy tulips 🌷♬ ✥*

"Where are you taking me, pretty?"
This place was something so personal to me, and I was finally able to share it with the person I trust the most. I've told Essie many things in the past, and not once have I felt that she did something with what I said. I felt safe enough to open up about my past and mention what I was passionate about without hearing any hate or a laugh.
The only laughs that happened between us were only during moments of happiness — and occasional playful mockery. None of it happened during times where anything serious was spoken.
I've never shown anyone this secret of mine, even though she knew that it already existed; but nonetheless, it was still a part of me that I think would always make people judge me.
Serenity wasn't someone who judged people, but the anxiety was just within me — nothing more, nothing less.
"If you call me that one more time, I'll have to take you back home."
"Oh, baby honey, you wouldn't dare," she teased with a smirk playing on her lips.
I definitely wouldn't fucking dare. My girl knew me too well.
Even so, my heart was thunderous, beating louder than a bass drum.
Her hand was held between mine, our fingers interlaced as I led her to the rooftop. I could hear her mumbling some more questions and saying how mysterious I was. I only let out a soft chuckle from her whining tone and refused to reply.
Pressing against the steel handle of the exit door, I opened it and revealed the open ground. After I bought my condo, I called some people to transform it into a green roof. It was a quick thing I negotiated with the owner of the building — simply because we've already done work together. Of course, I requested them to leave a section of it blank for myself. To keep my secret, I got a personal contractor to build the structure for me.
From the corner of my eye, I could see her look around in awe, completely curious and excited. The gasp that escaped her lips was one I was struggling to figure out if she was truly loving the view or surprised at how I could've created something like this.
The botanical flower greenhouse came into our view, and my heart skipped a beat at the sight of it. It had been several months since I last laid my eyes on it. Archie and Lina kept their eyes on it since I'd been neglecting it for so long.
The structure was completely different from absolutely everything else I owned. It was wooden, painted in eggshell. Windows wrapped all around it, letting the sunlight in every direction possible. It looked like a small cottage home out in the middle of the farms — some small vines wrapped around it, keeping it snug and warm. The scent was so familiar and so relaxing to be in this wonderful element.
