"How have you been adjusting back to Korea?"

"Its been great! Of course aside from the occasional paparazzi and reporters. Thankfully I've been able to get them off my tail." Soojoo answers. "So thank you for accepting my request to keep my affiliation with Black Velvet a secret till the Fashion Week, Jennie."

Jennie sends a warm smile at the model as she wraps her hands around her cup of coffee. Jennie had dropped by the office this morning despite it being a Saturday because of an urgent call regarding some last-minute contract negotiations with a model. After that thankfully ended on a good note, she had dropped into the break room to grab a drink and take a breather for a sec only to see Soojoo sitting at one of the tables sipping on tea herself. Turned out the model was at the building for a meeting herself and decided to take a moment in the break room to relax.

"You have my number right? Feel free to hit me up if you need a friend to help you adjust back here in Korea." Jennie says. "Or just a friend to talk to."

Soojoo nods her head.

"Have you gotten in contact with your ex?" Jennie then asks. "Or maybe not your ex. I don't know the extent of your relationship with the woman. I'm sorry if I just overstepped the boundaries. I'm sorry."

Soojoo chuckles at Jennie's flustered behavior. "She was my ex so no worries."

Despite Soojoo's response, Jennie still feels apologetic. She fidgets in her seat in hopes to change the topic, but Soojoo continues.

"I haven't reached out to her yet."

Jennie watches as Soojoo's eyes stare back at her and the corners of her lips gently tug into a small smile.

"I plan on doing it very soon, though. I think I'm ready to risk it all for her."

Soojoo's "confession" pulls on Jennie's heartstrings.

Risking it all for someone.

Jennie takes another sip of her coffee as she gleams a soft smile at Soojoo.

Risking it all for someone...

Jennie suppresses her thoughts.

Jennie Ruby Jane Kim risking it all for...Kim Jisoo?

Jennie takes another sip.

"Do you want me to introduce you some of my model friends?"

"No, I don't know if I want to get tangled up with a model....again."

"Then download a dating app or whatever apps the kids are using these days to hook up and meet new people, Jisoo."

Jisoo looks at the foreign app on her phone. She'd taken Chaeyoung's words into consideration and had hesitantly downloaded a dating app on her phone last night. She had set up a profile and uploaded some pictures of her and had called it a night.

Hook-up? Jisoo wasn't too sure.

Dating? Jisoo wasn't too sure of that either.

Just anything to help her stop thinking about Jennie.

It's been nearly 3 weeks now since her first encounter with the cat-eyed girl and things have been good. With Triple J's Fashion Week in just a couple months, Jisoo's been busy attending meeting after meetings along with the newly established weekly meetings with Black Velvet that would start next week. Outside of work boundaries, Jisoo's also been gradually spending more time with Jennie.

Just yesterday, Jisoo had just gotten home from work and had changed out of her office-wear when her phone pinged with a message from Jennie. Turns out the girl was outside her door — food in one hand and Jisoo's clothes that she had borrowed in the other. The surprise visit turned into dinner and dinner turned into a late-night walk outside. Jisoo made sure to send off Jennie before it got too late, though the younger girl was adamant in staying longer because it was a Friday night. But Jisoo shooed away the younger girl. And it was after Jennie had left that Jisoo laid in her bed and called Chaeyoung and decided to download this very app she is currently staring at intensely. Something about being with Jennie made her heart feel uncomfortable. Uncomfortable in such a good way. But also uncomfortable in a way that scared Jisoo so much she wanted to run away and distract herself.
