One afternoon, Katie comes back from work tired and drained, and slumps down on her bed.
She watches the news on the ancient box sitting in the corner of her room, updating on the latest news of Hitler's efforts to take over.
She had told a colleague about the missing contents of the history books, but was left laughed and mocked at.
They said they had no idea which Hitler she was talking about.
It seemed Hitler had been wiped clear out of all the history books along with the minds of the people.
They called her a lunatic.
They whispered behind her back and pulled their children closer when she passed.
It was common knowledge that she had a history of mental health problems, although no-one was quite sure what they were.
Every day at work became excruciatingly harder, and Katie still couldn't fathom why the company had even hired her.
"Was it just a coincidence?" She thought.
