Gabby's POV
As I got ready for my big day, my head was in the clouds wondering what Lexi's dress would look like. Would it match mine? Is it the traditional long dress? I mean she would look beautiful in anything. I noticed that no one was paying attention to me so it was the perfect time for me to sneak out and go check on Lexi. When I'm out the door I hurried so they don't see me, I see Lexi's mom coming out of the room I suppose Lexi is at. I hide so she doesn't see me and my suspicion is confirmed when I hear Lexi's voice. I hear them walking away and I took a deep breath and make my way to the room. I knock on the door and I hear steps. "Who's there?" She asked. "The love of your life," I answered and I heard her giggling. "What are you doing here!?" She asked.
I pressed my back against the door and took a deep breath. "I just needed to make sure that I wasn't dreaming," I said. "I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking it's a dream, one of those you never want to wake up from. You have no idea how happy I am and these stupid hormones are making it so hard for me to not cry. If I mess my make up my mom will kill me!" She says and I laughed. "You're beautiful to me, you could walk down the aisle in a plastic bag and I for sure will be drooling all over the floor," I tell her. "Gabby, I can't wait to start our forever, you, me, and our babies. It's all surreal but I'm so happy that I get to do life with you. I love you so much," she said and I feel the tears in my eyes threatening to fall. "You say things like that, and I want to break down the door," I said pressing my forehead against the wooden door. "No one is breaking doors on my watch!" Nikolai says behind me. I felt my soul leave my body for a good minute. "You scared the living shit out of me! Don't you know it's rude to sneak up on people like that?" I asked and he waved me off.
"Don't you know it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding?" He asked and I rolled my eyes. "Gabriella! Where have you been!? We still gotta finish your hair," said Caroline pulling me back to where the others were. After a couple of hours, and a lot of hair-pulling I was ready. I looked at myself in the mirror and couldn't help but smile. I looked behind me and my moms were there smiling at me, Momma was sobbing and Mom was trying so hard not to cry. "You look beautiful," Mom said caressing my cheek. "My baby is all grown up," said Momma sobbing harder. "Momma, stop it! You're going to make me cry!" I tell her and she wiped off her tears. "You're right! No more crying. How are you feeling?" She asked and I smiled. "I'm ready," I said and they nodded smiling.
We make our way out and everybody stood up. There are a few faces that I don't recognize but I'm sure that mom invited them. I took a deep breath and my moms wrapped their arms around mine, and the three of us begin my walk down the aisle. The sand in my feet feels so nice. The sun was starting to set, and the beautiful colors were majestic. When we reach the altar both my mom take my hand in theirs. "We love you," they both say and I smiled at them. "I love you both so much," I tell them before they moved to take their seats next to Bri's mom. I felt my heart beating so fast that I'm afraid it will stop at any second. When the song started I felt my heart stop and then I saw Lexi. It felt like I died and went to heaven. She looks so beautiful, I feel a knot tightening in my throat.
I feel a tear rolled down my face and I have to bite my hand to quiet down a sob. Lexi looks at me, frank adoration in her eyes. I know the tears will mess up my makeup and I pry that this mascara is waterproof because I'm not stopping myself from crying. Lexi hugs her dad, and he places Lexi's hand over mine. I smiled at her and she blushes, I can see that she cried a little too. "God, it's so good to see you. Are you always this stunning?" I joked and she rolled her eyes. "I could ask you the same question," she said. "Shoot, we should get married every day, then!" I joked. We turn to the officiant, barely able to contain my grin. It's been a long day, and it's finally time for the most important moment...
The officiant fixed his tie and cleared his throat. "Love is an unconditional commitment. A commitment to the person that completes you. To love someone isn't just about a strong feeling. It's a decision, a judgment, and a promise. A promise that is not meant to be ever be broken. What these two women have, it's beautiful and so pure. Gabriella and Lexi have written their own vows, which they will say now," he said. I looked at Lexi forgetting that we weren't alone. "Lexi, when I met you. I was immediately drawn to you, I was so fascinated by the way you carried yourself. You weren't just beautiful because you are the smartest and kindest person that I know. When things got hard, you stayed. Without you Lexi, I don't think I would've been here. I can't imagine my life without you, I won't. I love you, Alexis, with all of my heart and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you as my wife," I said and Lexi was crying and I heard some people sobbing.
