Chapter 14

Gabby's POV

It's been 3 months since Lee's death, Bri and I are starting college tomorrow. I haven't talked to Adriana since the last time she called me. I've been in contact with Kayleigh her best friend. My nightmares are slowly disappearing, I have them every now and then but I'm getting there. My love life has changed a lot, I haven't try to have a relationship I just don't have the time. But I've stopped sleeping around. I'm actually excited for this new chapter in my life. Bri and I are going to be playing for the University of Central Florida.

My moms, Belle and Bri's mom are moving to Florida with us. They don't want us to be apart, my mom already bought a house for them and Bri's mom. Bri's mom sold their house back in Cali. Bri and I are renting a penthouse. Mom offered Bri and me a job at their company, mom wants me to start getting familiar with the job since after graduating from college I'll be the new CEO of their empire.

I'm currently packing the rest of my stuff. I gave most of my stuff to charity since it was in good shape and the penthouse came with furniture. I just need to buy a new bed and since I'm going to be working and earning my own money I can start buying my own stuff. My family and Bri's family are flying with us on the private jet. Bri and I made a quick stop to say goodbye to Lee before going to Florida. We are gonna come back to bring her flowers, we drove back to the airport and then boarded the jet.

Once we settle on the penthouse, Bri and I sat in the living room. We still have to unpack our stuff but tomorrow is going to be a big day for us. We will have time, and we need to go to sleep since we have to be there early for the first meeting.

"I'm going to sleep," I said going to my room.

"Okay," she said turning off the lights.

I went to my room, plugged in my phone. I took my clothes off and laid on the floor. I close my eyes and fall asleep very easily.

*Next Day*

I got up when my alarm went off, I got into the restroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. We're probably going to be running so I can shower after. I walked to the kitchen to grab something to eat on the way to school.

"Good morning," said Bri.

"Good morning," I said.

My phone started ringing and it was a mom "Good morning mom!" I said. "Nugget don't forget about the gala tonight, I'm gonna be introducing you as my successor," she said. "Yes ma'am, we'll be there on time," I said.

My mom and I decided that it was time for me to come out to the world as their daughter, which meant that the paparazzi are going to be following me everywhere and people will be assuming I'm just a rich brat, but who cares.

Bri grabbed an apple and followed me out of the house. We locked up our place, and then took the elevator down to the lobby. The valet brought my car and we drove to school. I parked by the fields and took my stuff out of the trunk.

Bri and I walk together to the fields, there were the coach and two other girls. They were apparently looking for a goalkeeper since their main goalkeeper got hurt and will be out the whole season and the back up quit. When the coach saw us she was waving at us.

"Hello, girls," said the coach.

"Hi," I said smiling.

"This is Tina," she said and the brunette smiled.

"Our captain isn't here today but she's gonna be here tomorrow," she said.

"Alright," I said.

"There are two more goalkeepers trying out today and tomorrow," she said. "But probably we're gonna have an extra day for tryouts so Captain has more time to decide," she said. "Follow me I'll show y'all around," she said. She showed us the locker room and told us a little bit about the girls. The captain is a year older than us, she's very nice.
