"Loki, why does he look like you," I asked. I shook his head. The fear in his eyes told me he had no clue what was going on. Maybe he astro-projected himself."I don't know, but that's not me," He said. The man that looked like him, he wasn't looking at anything, but was just standing there, his head down. He looked up and looked at Loki, he grinned evilly. But different from Loki. He didn't look like Loki when he grinned, he was more, evil.
"Did he just look at us and smile?" Percy asked. Annabeth was freaking out but trying to keep calm.
"Okay, keep calm, that's not Loki and he isn't astro-projecting," she said. I looked at Annabeth, Loki still had her hand too.
"Then what is it," I asked. She acted frightened. Like she had witnessed this before. And it wasn't clear, but she knew the answer.
"I have been many places and seen many things but this, it's to familiar," She said. Loki Looked at her. She was staring it down. She was taking it in, Percy was getting concerned for her. But he felt something was off too.
"Guys, I think that's a shapeshifting ice giant," She said. Loki snaps his attention back to the thing in front of us
"That would mean Odin hadn't killed them all and they've adapted, why would it be invisible to the lot of you and not to me?" Loki asked.
"Um, hello ice giant, you have ice giant in your blood," She said. He snapped at me and looked me in fear.
"Oh, she's right Ella, That would make sense, and if that is right, that means they are haunting me," He said. Wait, haunting? That's not possible, we would not be able to see it.
"Actually, I think it made itself invisible to us and you've given us your power to see, I think it's real," Annabeth said.
Well great. Something else to fight off. Loki starts breathing heavy. He's scared and I don't blame him. The creature in front of us looks at us all and starts to walk towards us but he flies backwards, the barrier kept him from entering. And because Loki had Ice giant in him, but he also had something else, he was able to stay in. The giant couldn't come in and that was good. But in a flash, it disappeared.
Loki released us, staggering back. I snapped and my clothes hugged my body again. Annabeth puts her clothes on over her bikini. Percy slips into some shorts and a black t shirt. I'm worried about Loki. He seems afraid. He's never met his actual people. And I wasn't sure if he was anything like them. Normally they were huge, and blue, and red eyes. But Loki was born half Ice giant, or the term was Frost giant.
I grabbed him, holding him up. He seemed so fragile. If his past was coming back to haunt him, that was not good. And on the verge of that, now the true evil within these walls were arriving. I wasn't sure what I was going to do about mom and dad, on top of this. Annabeth took a seat for a moment. Then, she got back up. She could not sit still. And to be honest, I didn't blame her.
"We need to tell Thor, but not in front of the humans," Percy said. Loki shook his head. He was dis-agreeing with him, but for what reason?
"No, my brother is going through a lot with the humans, my past will just make it worse, we can deal with this, I can deal with this," He said. I argued his point.
"Yes, lets lie to our brother, that seems fair to him, and hey while we're at it, just lie to your king, because that doesn't scream treason, and oh yes, why don't you lie to me, keep me out, that seems like a great plan, don't you think Annabeth," I asked looking at her.
