Chapter 15

Loki and Thor had gone peacefully, thinking about what they had done, but none were talking. They didn't want to answer any questions, the surrendered to us, but that was only because of Lilly. Luke had been nice enough to take her, and protect her. And for two days that Loki and Thor were room bound, The two brothers had been pretty silent. I visited with Loki one time, and he wouldn't even look at me, he said his brother caused his anger, and he almost hurt our daughter, and he told me to leave him be. Lilly felt his sorrow, she said it was growing more and more everyday. And today was the third day. We locked them in a magic binding spell, where they wouldn't hurt themselves. The only thing we could do now, is send Lilly to Loki and Anna to Thor, she hadn't been to see him. If they didn't talk, we were locking them together, to talk it out. Brothers should not be fighting, especially when they were on the same side.

            I gathered out troops, and met Luke with Lilly in the hall. He agreed to come with me. He had been a great friend to us both. And I wanted to have him there in case Loki got angry and tried anything, not that he would. But he was a spit-fire right now. Heimdall assured me he was not in rage, neither was Thor, but they probably wouldn't talk about the problem. I enter Loki's room, with Lilly beside me, and behind me, Luke. Loki notices us, and he chuckled sarcastically, as he usually did.

            "Two days and I'm replaced by a demi-god," He said, spitting lies. Luke didn't say anything. He watched Loki, making sure he didn't try anything. He has a button up on, with no top buttons, he ripped them apart. His hair was no longer slick back, just hanging.

            "You look bad, Loki, tell us what happened," I said. He shook his head and stares out the window.

            "The memories come often you know, my evil ways haunting me, taunting me everyday, time is nearing, and I am locked in here, as I should be, my brother was right to not have faith in me, no matter what I do or where I go, I can not change," He said. I shook my head. Lilly stepped up to him.

            "Father, that's not true, you fear the memories, you think no one can live with what you've done, but I understand," She said. He tilted his head to her. Were they having a moment. I looked at Luke, who looked at me.

            "Lilly, I cannot be your father, I hurt you, fathers don't hurt their children," Loki said, sitting down like he was in shock. She met his eyes.

            "You're right, and you didn't mean to hurt me, I know you're angry with Uncle, but don't forget, what happened in the past, is just that, gone," She said. Was she becoming wiser? In front of us? Loki looked up at her, in concern.

            "Lilly, do you not fear me," He asked. She touches his face. And shakes her head. She closes her eyes and shows him something. Something amazing, he opens his eyes wide, and look at me.

            "Ella, it's gone, she took that pain from my past, and buried it," He said. I looked at Lilly, Luke stepped closer to her. Loki looked up and him, not saying a word.

            "Lilly, I think it's time to go now, remember our talk we had earlier," He said. He was talking about taking him to Thor. She nods, Loki shakes his head.

            "No, No my Lilly, no please, I'm sorry," He cries, she lets her hands fall, his fall too. His tears were falling. He was so hurt by what he had done. And she helped him regardless, not fearing him at all. And Luke left with Lilly.

            "Ella, what is going on, has he replaced me in your eyes," He asks, sincerely. And knowing what he done to me, even if it weren't on purpose, it broke him.

            "What we did, that was not your fault, our child was killing me, but you fight Thor, and almost kill Lilly, your pride, and you childish ways, they can harm anyone, when you let them take over, Loki, I love you, and Lilly loves you, we want you to see this, but you get jealous, and you let your selfish pride rule you," I said.
