"Ella," Loki says, entering the gardens. I sit up and smile at him. He sits beside me. Looking at the beautiful flowers, admiring them."I saw the child, you were good to her," He said. I nod. He didn't know how much I loved children. He took a deep breath and placed his hands together looking at me.
"That was a good thing, you did that for her, she will forever be grateful for that, my mother did the same for me," He said. I looked at him, he smiled at me.
"I spoke to Flame, she wants to make you strong alone, but I think you've found your net in someone else," He stopped to look at me, "The child."
He always knew me well. But he didn't know the joy she brought to me, she was so kind, and gentle. He didn't understand that. I could tell. Kids weren't a thing for him. It was out of the question. And I would never bare his children. I would never be able to.
"The child has brought you happiness, you love them, I get it, and I know you don't want to talk about it, but I think you should, tell me why they make you happy," He said. I looked away and held back tears. It was hard to say anything. Was he suggesting he didn't like kids? They were mere children. Innocent and pure. And he wanted me to tell him why I loved them. Maybe he genuinely didn't know why I loved them.
"I have always admired the purity in them, the strength that comes from their love, and kindness, it gives me hope, and joy, and makes me stronger," I said. He places his hand over mine. I snap my attention to him, he grins.
"They are innocent, Ella, they do not belong in a war, nor do they belong in a place of conflict, But I have dreamed of it," He said. Is he telling me he wants children?
"Loki, have you ever dreamed of being a father?"
"I have, but I fear the actions of my past, and of my father, will curse them," He said. I nod.
"You would be perfect, I on the other hand, I'm a mess, always screwing something up, and my power it may be new, but how long before it decides to grow out of control," I said. He grinned and turned towards me.
"You would be most wonderful, because you love, you've been taught love, I had to learn other ways," He said. I smiled.
"Loki, say it was to happen for us, would you dismiss it, or would you be happy," I asked. He tilted his head at me.
"Ella, I want you to be happy, if that means a child, I will not say anything, if you wish it, I will give it to you," He said. I smiled. And that's when it hit me. I had a perfect idea.
"I want to take Lilly in," I said. Loki looked confused.
"The girl you were teaching magic to, she's already grown, and has a family," He said. I shook my head.
"She lives with her parents friend, who has children, she never knew parents, and I would like to be that for her," I said. He sighed and turned away.
"I cannot tell you no Ella, but she may not call me a father, I did not agree to this, but if it makes you happy you can do as you wish," He said.
I smiled at him, I grabbed his face and pressed my lips to his. The kiss was so sweet, and I hadn't kissed him in a long time. The love we felt for each other was stronger than any love anyone could imagine. And I would one day bare his children. I hoped I would. I wanted his children. And he knew I did. He grabs my face, and then suddenly we weren't in the gardens anymore. We were in his room. On the bed. He pushed me back. I smiled at him. I missed this so much. And here we were, alone, and ready to love each other, and we did. We loved each other, as we had before. It was magical, passionate, and sweet. And it lasted for hours. No one called or needed us. And we needed each other. I hadn't realized how much I needed him, until I did.
