It had been eight days, since I had seen Loki, Luke refused to let me go down there. The frost giant would come and go. Lilly didn't visit either. He was locked in that cell, and I was worried about him. Thor would go visit him, but that was the only one allowed in. Thor took the throne back, and forbid me to see him. It would upset me. And he didn't need me distracted from the actual task. The retrieved Kronos, and he was hidden in the lab, under a cloaking spell, made by Anna. I refused to talk to anyone but Luke. I didn't like anyone ese. Lilly was staying with Annabeth and Percy. She would come to my chambers, but I would barely speak to her, I told her I loved her, and that I couldn't talk right now, I was planning things.Luke had stayed in a chair beside my bed while I slept, he switched with Percy, keeping a watch on me. Making sure I didn't go down to see Loki. They didn't understand that I wanted to see him. He was my soul mate, and he was suffering alone. Was this something he had to deal with alone? He should not have to right? But he did. The frost giant was on the verge of waking, and it would only get stronger. And I had to deal with it. I wanted to help him, but only he could do it. When Lilly healed him, it wasn't from the Frost giant, it was from his own memories.
I was laying in bed, it was late at night, and I was casting a flower spell. Something to lighten the room. I thought of Lilly, when I taught her to grow a flower with a simple spell, but she already knew. She always had power, but she never told anyone. I felt bad for not wanting to speak with her. Loki wasn't the only one I worried about, she was another. Luke hadn't left my side. He was with me all the time, like he promised Loki. He would protect us. And he had done a fine job.
"Gabby, please, you need to eat something," Luke said, trying to hand me some grapes. I didn't take them. I didn't want them. He sits the tray down. And sits on my bed beside me, I scoot up, Looking to the floor.
"Would Loki want you to starve yourself," he asks. And he has a point. I look at him, trying not to grin, but it comes anyway. He smiles handing me the grapes and an apple. I eat on them, just a little bit. And then I place them on the tray.
"Luke, why do you stay with me," I ask. He just looks at the floor. And then back to me.
"Because I care Gabby, and If I let anything happen to you, I would be murdered by Loki, and I refuse to be his punching bag," He laughs, joking. Loki wouldn't do that.
"I mean, why do YOU stay with me," I asked. He stands up pulling his dark shirt down. He walks over to the window and he stares. No saying a word. He had been here two weeks, and he was fitting in here, but he was not the same as the rest of us.
"I want to say, because I'm a changed man, but I can't blame it on that entirely, you and Lilly, mean a great deal to me, and I care," He says. I smile. He did care about us so much.
"Luke, we care for you, especially Lilly, she is crazy about you, the way she talks about you," I stopped, he looks back smiling and looking back at the stars.
"I know, and I love her, I've never another child as much as her, but I do, she's so special, and I care about you both," He said. He turned around, making his way to my bedside. He sits down beside me.
"Gabby, I just really want you to know, I will be here, always, if you need me, I'll be here, just call on me, and my service is yours," he says. He was a great friend. One of the best. I didn't think I would care about him at first, but now he has grown on me. He gabs my hand, kissing the back of it. I looked him in the eyes, and something in his eyes, got me thinking, what were his intentions?
