"The air was filled with tension. I could see it in their eyes. The sun was coming up."

Elizabeth Decker,

I had planned on hiding in my room, for the rest of my life. The girl in me wanted to hide to run. But the woman in me told me to stand up tall. What happened to me wasn't my fault. It shouldn't have to define me.

But the girl in me won the battle. I been scrubbing my skin for the past hour. It had turned into multiple shades of red and pink. My eyes filled with tears that wouldn't fall. I made multiple mistakes. I made so many stupid mistakes.

I spoke in Spanish.

I got in to deep.

There isn't a way out now. I saw someone get killed right next to me. That should tell me how dangerous Val is. How dangerous this mafia is.

If there was a time to get out. It's now.

My heart was pounding in my chest. I could feel it. The house was quiet. There were more men patrolling the grounds. I haven't seen Valerie in hours. My hair was curly and tangled. I looked in the mirror.

You are destroying yourself Elizabeth. And for what? The one person you came here for is dead.

His gone. And you are destroying yourself over a dead man. Is his family worth your life? I clenched my fist smashing it against the mirror. It was four in the morning. I knew the way out.

But I couldn't leave. Not today. Not with fifty armed men are guarding every single entrance to this mansion. Blood trickled down into the gaps of my fingers. Breathe. I washed away the blood, not caring to fix up my cuts. I grabbed oversized clothing.

I walked out of my room and tiptoed to Ace's office. I heard Val's voice.

"Bold of you to assume I would ever answer to a man. I wont fucking say sorry. What I did wasn't a mistake. It wasn't some moment of weakness. I made a fucking choice and I stand by it. I will not apologised for protecting myself against an animal."

They think, its her who got assaulted? W-why, I didn't understand why she would do that. Why would she go down for something that happened to me. What if they kill her for it. Before I could move away fast enough the door was yanked open by a fuming Val, she had her murder eyes on.

As soon as they landed on me, they softened she looked me over. Nodding her head slightly she walked past me to where I assume her room would be. Ace's eyes landed on me. They weren't grey like Alessio's or Valerie's his were a simple earth brown. Like the tip of a mountain, like my hair colour.

"Why? Why did you buy me? Why did you bring me into this world? Why the fuck-" He laughed.

"You really think, this is the best time to have this talk? And you think I wanted you? I don't fucking want you. I don't even know your name!" Ace took out his anger on me. This, this didn't make any sense. Why spend so much money on me if you didn't even want me. None of this made sense. But before I could say anything.
