we were stood on floor near the right side of the stage. the whole school were looking at julie weird and she just stood there awkwardly. a guy ran out onto the stage, "hey where did the rest of the band go?". julie didn't know how to respond, she completely froze up. the school continued to glare at julie in confusion. "wait where those holograms?" one of the back up dancers in dirty candy asked. julie turned to her and looked out to the whole crowd.

"yes! yes they were holograms. um i plugged it into the ceiling projector before the show. i'd explain it but it involves algorithms and science stuff" julie explained. 

the crowd started to cheer and we stood and looked at julie and we all had massive smiles on our faces. "that's wild they could see us when we're playing but not when the music ended" luke said. i nodded in agreement. 

"we should double check." reggie said as he ran up two steps that were connected to the stage and he started to swirl his bum around in circles and i covered my hand over my face so i didn't have to witness whatever was going on. he ran back down to us, "i don't think they can see us" he said.

"i wish i couldn't see you" alex rolled his eyes. i let out a little chuckle and so did luke. 

the crowd was told to get back to class, alex poofed into the hallway and luke and i joined him. reggie was too busy trying to chat up a dirty candy dancer. 

"sooo," alex began, "what's going on between you two" he smiled.

"what! nothing, we're just friends." i said.

"yeah, nothing more, nothing less" luke replied.

"right, so just friends. who just so happen to want to hold one another all the time. i got it." alex winked at us clearly showing us he didn't believe us.

"we aren't dati-" i was cut off as my brother poofed to join us, my cheeks flushed in hopes he didn't hear what i was about to say.

"hey guys, what we talking about?" he asked.

"oh nothing, so my big bro how's things which that dancer" i sniggered. reggie gave me a punch as we heard julie come round the corner. we decided to get into this weird gymnastic, cheerleader position (i don't know what to call it). luke was stood on reggie and alex's thighs and i layed myself on the floor underneath luke and as she turned the corner we all shouted "julie!". luke hopped off alex and reggie and jumped over me, he spun round and helped me up and we all just stared at julie. "stop doing that im serious" she sighed. 

"woah woah, this one is on you we were already here." reggie said as he held his hands up, "well actually we were over there and then we came over here".

"are we not going to talk about what just happened" luke said excitedly. 

"yeh the whole school saw you, kinda freaking me out" julie said.

"okay good because it's freaking me out too. you know, you could see us, and then people can see us whenever we play music and my clothes are made of air and for some reason i'm still getting a wedgie. so many questions." alex spoke fast as he swung his hands in the air, luke rubbed his back as reggie gave him a weird look.

"alex hun, calm down" i laughed. 

"the important thing is that we rocked that place, they were loving you" luke redirected back to the original conversation. 

"are you kidding they loved us! that was a good song luke, thanks." julie smiled.

wait? luke gave her the song. i started to get worked up, jealousy took over my body and i wanted to cry. all those little moments that luke and i shared meant so much to me. but i don't understand why i'm getting jealous it's not like i have a crush on luke or anything, reggie wouldn't approve and i don't want to make my brother angry we've both lost so much already and me going against the whole 'don't crush on or date my friends rule' would be the final straw. 

"did you guys see the cheerleaders looking at me, i think they were looking at me. please tell me they were looking at me?" reggie asked luke as i wondered back into the conversation.

"bro they were looking at you." luke smiled at reggie and reggie did a mini cheer.

"poor girls." i muttered and alex let out a little laugh and reggie came  over to punch us both in the arms.

"ow!" we both shrieked as reggie just turned his head to go stand next to luke. 

"well, the good thing is everyone thought you were holograms" julie explained, "and i got back into the music program"

"why you look so bummed?" reggie asked.

"yeh dude, you're making this face" luke said as he pulled us all in together and we all copied her face.

"that, is not my face" she said as she narrowed her eyebrows. we all shook our head at her, but to be fair she did look upset. 

"what's up julie?" i asked.

"things just got weird between me and flynn, she asked about you guys and i couldn't tell her." julie replied. "i can't tell her about you guys for the reason i can't tell my dad, she'll think i've gone off the deep end."

"well this dude definitely thinks you've gone off the deep end" reggie said as he pointed to the janitor who walked past them. 

"i gotta get back to class." she said as she walked passed us and headed towards the double doors behind us. 

"oh tell those cheerleaders im single" reggie said before she left.

"oh and that he's dead" alex laughed.
