John POV
I woke up feeling excited that it was the first day of summer break! Then I remembered that I was being sent off to some summer camp. I sat up on my bed and sighed. You could've waited two more years to tell him John then you wouldn't be stuck going to this stupid summer camp! I came out to my dad a few months ago and ever since then he just ignored me and got more mad at me when I did something wrong. I heard my dad calling " John get up! Or your going to have to walk to summer camp!" I sighed and got dressed and fixed my hair a bit.My curls were a mess! I tried to flatten them a bit and then pulled them into a ponytail. As I ate breakfast I remembered that my little sister would be coming for the last month of camp! But that's still two months of me being bored to death and all alone. I was kinda happy that I get to be away from my family my dad especially. I got into the car and braced myself for the two hour drive with my dad. The whole ride was complete silence. I saw the pamphlet for the camp laying on the seat next to me.
It read
'Camp Washington' on the front in bright bold letters
I opened it up and started reading.
'At camp Washington campers have a variety of options
Hiking
Sports
Swimming
The arts
And so much more!'
I smiled at the last one. I always enjoyed drawing and I thought I was pretty good at it. But my dad says I need to have a real job and should instead become a lawyer or a doctor.

I continued reading and a part that really caught my eye was this.
' all sexuality's and genders are welcome!'
I feel like my dad never read that part.

I started yawning I didn't get the best sleep last night. I quickly dosed off. I woke up about ten minutes before we were there. My dad pulled up to the camp. Then he said " I want you to play some sports or something instead of drawing in that stupid sketchbook of yours.
Maybe get yourself a girlfriend and get out of this phase." I rolled my eyes. I wanted to say something but I knew I would regret it.

We walked up to a lady sitting at a desk. She had a bright smile on and it wasn't a fake one that your teacher makes or something. She said " Hi welcome to camp Washington! What is your name?" I responded quickly with " John Laurens." She gave me a sweet smile and pulled out a form and said "Sir I just need you to sign here." She handed my dad a clipboard with a form attached to it. He quickly signed and handed it back. "Okay perfect!" She exclaimed. "That's all I need." My dad gave me a pat on my back and headed for his car without another word. I was glad he was gone. She then handed me a schedule and it had my cabin name on it and my bunk mates.

Bunk mates: Alexander Hamilton, Marquis du Lafayette and Hercules Mulligan

I hope their nice I thought. I was really nervous what if their like everyone else back home? Would they make fun of me or even worse? I felt a panic attack coming on and Isabelle sensed it. "Your bunked with some great people! There very friendly and very popular in this camp." I smiled and nodded heading for my cabin. I entered the room to see the most beautiful person I have ever seen in my life. He was sitting on the top bunk. As soon as he saw me he smiled and said "are you are new roommate?" Even his voice was adorable. I was blushing very hard I then pushed away everything I was thinking and said " Uh yes. I'm John. John Laurens." He smiled he sensed I was nervous. He got off the top bunk and stood in front of me he was a little taller than me. He introduced himself " I'm Alexander Hamilton but please call me Alex." He said with bright smile on his face . I blushed even harder. Then he said "are you nervous?" This only made me blush more. And then I actually got nervous. "Uh yeah I'm new here." He nodded and said well when our roommates stop making out at the front we can go on a tour but for now let's get you settled in."

I loved writing this so much sorry it's kinda short but I'm probably going to be up till midnight writing this because I am having so much fun!
